This year has indeed been very eventful for Armored Warfare. From the change in ownership to the release of two Battle Path campaigns, two full seasons and several major updates, we’ve been hard at work the entire time to bring you the best experience possible.



And we aren’t slowing down – quite the contrary. The next year will be just as exciting with two full seasons and a number of progression vehicles, Special Operation missions and other, yet unannounced, major features already in development.

So, enjoy the New Year celebrations, commanders! When they’re over, we’ll start revealing our plans for 2020 in detail. For now, let’s take a look at the bonus and gifts we’ve prepared for you.

Between December 26, 2019, and January 2, 2020, 100% bonus for Gold to Credit conversion will be active. It will be joined by a New Year Gift on December 31, consisting of 3 day temporary version of the QN-506 Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer.

The BMPT Mod.2017 is one specific version of the BMPT Terminator that was deployed in 2017 in Syria for extended testing along with some other Russian prototype equipment, including the SU-57 jet fighter and the Uran-9 combat robot. It consists of a modified T-90 hull with a modernized turret from BMPT-72 installed on it. Another major difference was the presence of a new type of Explosive Reactive Armor that was made of soft fabric bags with explosive filler. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.



In Armored Warfare, the BMPT Mod. 2017 is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer and arguably the most powerful variant of the BMPT family. Like the others, it combines a tank hull with an unmanned turret, armed with two 30mm cannons as well as four missile launchers. Its thick armor and advanced ATGMs quickly made it one of the most feared vehicles of Tier 8 battlefields, a position it retains to this day.








The T-72B3 is the most modern Russian T-72 variant currently in service. It is a heavily upgraded version of the T-72B, featuring Kontakt-5 ERA kit and an improved Fire Control System. Together, these modifications allow the aging T-72 to serve well into the 21st century. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!



In Armored Warfare, the T-72B3 is a Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. It continues the tradition of other Russian tanks. Its low silhouette, good mobility, powerful 125mm gun and its advanced ERA kit make it a formidable opponent. This version of the T-72B3 is offered without any camouflage.








The Armata 152 is a version of the T-14 Armata, armed with larger cannon. One of the upgrades considered for the T-14 Armata was the increase of its caliber to 152mm in order to absolutely, positively destroy anything with the first shot. The 2A83 smoothbore is a behemoth of a gun, designed in the last days of the Soviet empire for the next generation of super-tanks. It’s massive, heavy and quite costly to produce, but, most importantly, it was never truly needed to deal with the western MBTs since the standard 125mm guns were (and still are) up to the task. That is why it never found its way on any Soviet MBT with even the standard T-14 Armata being armed with an improved 125mm cannon. In Armored Warfare, the T-14 Armata 152 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. While not firing as fast as its 125mm counterpart, the 152mm rounds do enormous damage, often eliminating weaker opponents with a single shot. And then there’s the platform itself – the Armata, the most modern Main Battle Tank in the world. Earn it and use it to dominate!

The Armata 152 Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.

The Bradley AAWS-H Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer can now be obtained from the Last Patriot Loot Crates that are available to players participating in the American Dream Battle Path. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.



The Last Patriot Loot Crates are available in exchange for surplus Battle Coins. They include blueprint pieces of the Bradley AAWS-H Tier 8 Premium TD (along with a chance for that vehicle to drop directly) as well as pieces of Special Patriot Loot Crates. These Special Crates have to be first assembled and, upon doing so, they drop improved loot, including:

• Exclusive Premium vehicles (including those from previous Battle Paths, up to Tier 10)
• Exclusive commanders (including Battle Path ones)
• Battle Path boosters

These Loot Crates can be obtained in the Crates section in the Battle Path window for the following prices:

On the 25th of December 2019, starting from 8:00 CET (24th of December, 11 PM PST), the server will not be available for 5 hours due to the application of Update 0.30.5891



 

• Fixed a number of localization issues, including vehicle names and Battle Path mission descriptions
• Prime series skins and the CATTB Freedom Rider skin no longer cause the vehicles to take double damage when taking hits in various external parts such as mirrors and exhaust pipes
• AT Squad is now taking aim much faster, especially on high Tiers (roughly 2s instead of 3.5s)
• Mid-Tier Sniper viewrange increased from 425m to 450m
• High-Tier Sniper viewrange increased from 450m to 500m
• Fixed an issue where the Battle Path mission that required to repel a certain amount of damage done by high caliber guns would not require this caliber when it came to shots fired by AI vehicles

Christmas is here and our special Holiday Mode with it! A squad of snowmen took a magical sleigh and is dropping tree decorations over the village! Help Grandfather Frost gather the decorations and put them on the tree!



Tree decorations will spawn across the map and it’s your and your team’s duty to pick each one up and bring it back to your base. But beware – evil Grinch-driven armored vehicles will stop at nothing to steal them from you, ruining your holidays!

This year, there are new achievements and decals in the mode, don’t miss them!

Please note: the mode is only available each hour for 15 or 30 minutes (during weekends and most populated hours).

The detailed rules are:

• The holiday mode can be selected in the Garage in the mode menu
• The match generally follows the rules of Global Operations with both sides having a number of points
• Capturing and bringing home the decorations resembles a Capture the Flag mode, each capture reduces enemy’s pool of points
• The first time a decoration spawns, it will always be in the center of the map, the rest of the spawns are random
• Player who captures a decoration will be clearly identified by an icon and visible on the minimap
• Destroying a vehicle carrying the decoration will cause the decoration to drop to the ground and become available for capture by someone else
• A new decoration spawns every 90 seconds
• It’s necessary to capture 5 decorations to win a match
• The match is played in 12v12 format and lasts 15 minutes

Last but not least, we have the BM Oplot, one of the two vehicles able to carry the Frost skin. The Oplot is a heavily upgraded T-84 Ukrainian Main Battle Tank, which is based on an older design called T-80UD. It is currently the best tank the Ukrainian military industry can offer. You can read more about its history in our dedicated article.



In Armored Warfare, the BM Oplot is a Tier 9 Premium Main Battle Tank with a playstyle similar to the T-80U. Power-wise, it’s roughly on par with the T-90MS of the same Tier, but it has a very unique ability. Its advanced Duplet armor consists of several ERA layers, making it able to negate more than one HEAT shell impact. It takes several precise hits aimed at the same location to break through it, making it a very resistant vehicle on the battlefield.
