Hello, Wildlife Savers!

Today, we are moving Animallica out of Early Access. It has been our ambition, since the beginning, to release the game in a state we consider it worthy of our initial vision, including all the planned features and core game components. Moreover, the game now contains a lot of additions that weren’t planned in its inception, thanks to you - the Animallica comunity. We thank you again for all the feedback, suggestions, support and patience!

Even after the full release, Animallica will continue to receive free updates with both content and bug fixes if necessary.

Hello Everybody! After almost 5 years of development, Animallica reached its Final Beta phase and will be fully released soon!

We are very grateful for all your support so far and please continue to provide your feedback or report any bugs encountered, it will help us have a smooth release.

Even after the full release, Animallica will continue to receive free updates with both content and bug fixes.

Patch Notes:
  • A new location was added: Mors Estate. A special key is required to enter the dungeon underneath Mors Estate and then the building itself.
  • New animals were added: Beagle, Cane Corso, Snow Leopard and Domestic Shorthair Cat.
  • Two new legendary animals named after the two contest winners (Marki and MovingTarget) were added.
  • Numerous new crafting recipes were added.
  • Nine new vivariums can now be crafted.
  • A new settlement like building was added: Tavern.
  • Over 50 unique framed pictures, drawings and paintings can now be found in the world while exploring.
  • Almost 20 new plant clusters can be purchased from Corpse Harbor.
  • New food items and crafting materials were added.
  • An arrow showing the direction of placeables items where it wasn't obvious was added.
  • Most maps were updated.
  • Nights are now brighter.
  • Some icons were updated.
  • Some materials were updated.
  • Some sounds were adjusted.
  • Removed walking sound for tamed horses.
  • Numerous bugs and visual glitches were fixed.

Hello Everybody! Animallica Beta 1.2 is here!

Patch Notes:
  • A new legendary animal was added, this time is a Jet Black Great Dane;
  • A tamed legendary monster was added, first of its kind;
  • New monsters can be purchased from the Animal Trader in Corpse Harbor;
  • New items were added to the crafting menu: paths, shelter, barns, storage buildings, premade animal enclosure;
  • Some melee weapons were adjusted, mostly in size only;
  • Two new placeable teddybears can be found in the world;
  • Mushrooms planter was updated;
  • BUGFiX: When the items required to craft a complex item were spread over multiple stacks, the code failed to remove all the necessary items;
  • BUGFiX: Shift+click on a weapon into quickbar's previously empty selected slot and closing the inventory right away caused the weapon not to be instanciated;
  • BUGFiX: Sometimes the codex displayed a blank page after performing the search (it got stuck on the page number of the previous search);
  • BUGFiX: After using sort inside a container, the animals' gender was sometimes messed up;
  • BUGFiX: Stereo channels not working corectly (right channel on left channel and vice versa);
  • BUGFiX: The Sniper Rifle was sometimes wrongly treated by the code as shotgun (the code didn't properly display the total ammo and the ammo left in the magazine);
  • BUGFiX: Firing with a sniper rifle, switching to a different slot then back on the sniper rifle slot caused the magazine to be fully reloaded;
  • BUGFiX: Dragging and dropping an item in the same slot caused multiple empty slots to be locked;
  • BUGFiX: Yet another attempt to fix the death beacon being dragged right after the inventory was opened;
  • BUGFiX: The tooltip went out of bounds on items with large description;
  • BUGFiX: Choosing a non-default arrow, then switching to a different slot, then saving, resets the arrow to the default one;

    Hotfix Beta 1.2a
  • Player evasion was greatly increased in peaceful mode (only about 1 in 5 hits will connect when attacked by aggressive animals);
  • Removed unused controls: Find teleport, Call companion, Horse Follow, In-Game Note;
  • Fixed a bug with the green draconid using the wrong texture;
  • Fixed a bug with Dom the Great Dane not being able to be cured;
  • Fixed a bug with log paths not being able to be removed;
  • Fixed a bug with placeable arid rocks;
  • Fixed a bug with load module that didn't properly load the settings for bows;
  • Finally fixed the randomly item drag at the first click after opening the inventory;
  • Fixed several visual glitches;
  • Few more containers with harpoon in them were added;

Hello Everybody! Animallica Beta 1.1 is here!


Patch Notes:
  • Solved compatibility problems with AMD graphic cards. If you were using an AMD Radeon video card and everything still shows black in game, go to the Options menu > Graphics and make sure the light shafts are turned off.
  • Greenhils, Highrose and Snowridge Heights maps were slightly updated;
  • Added more visual markers (like the huge mushrooms and contaminated grass) around the contamination barrels in Akhali Desert, Snowridge Heights, Eagles Nest and Highrose for easier cleansing;
  • Recycling bins were disabled;
  • Another attempt to fix the items that are wrongfully dragged by the mouse when opening inventory was made;
  • BUGFiX: Using AutoSave caused the quickbar to activate slot 1 when autosave happened;
  • BUGFiX: The arrow from the bow sometimes was reset to the default arrow;
  • BUGFiX: The '<' and '>' keys did not change arrow type like they should;
  • BUGFiX: Fixed UI Volume slider not remembering the value set by the player;

Beta 1.1 is a small update because we were in a hurry to publish a solution for AMD graphic cards users, but a content update should arrive soon.

Hello Everybody! After almost 5 years of development, Animallica reached the Beta phase!

Because most of the environment suffered heavy changes, please note that a fresh start is required in order to enjoy a smooth gameplay without major glitches. Also is very important to perform a fresh installation of the game. More than half of the files have been changed and the game will have trouble updating corectly.
New content will still be added during this phase, but our main focus will be bug fixing from now, so please let us know whenever you encounter a bug or glitch (only report bugs encountered in a fresh new save game and a fresh installation).



Patch Notes:
  • All maps have been revamped with a big focus on interiors and points of interest;
  • New legendary animals were added;
  • Dozens of new placeable items were added, including much requested doors;
  • New weapons were added, including a stun gun (used for tranquilizing animals);
  • A new option called Auto Capture was added in the game menu. When turned ON, soon as an animal is tranquilized it will go directly into the inventory, avoiding losing it in the grass;
  • Dozens of old poor looking models were replaced or removed from the game;
  • Horse controls were adjusted. The horse also received a boost in speed;
  • Enemy damage has been decreased;
  • Greatly increased HP and damage for tamed animals like bears, big cats, wolves and attack dogs;
  • Increased range for some weapons;
  • New upgrades for weapons were added along with new upgrading materials;
  • A Tyrannosaurus rex reconstruction can be build once all the fossils have been collected;
  • Added a green checkbox in the Codex to track animals that the player already obtained;
  • Great Britain map was removed from creative mode, since it caused us a lot of trouble;
  • Optimized and improved hundreds of materials and textures;
  • Adjusted LODs for all creatures for better performance;
  • Unlock FPS option was added in the main menu;
  • Updated colliders for many of the placeble items;
  • Various bug fixes were made;

    Hotfix Beta 1.0a
  • Fixed broken quest from the start of the game;
  • Fixed several invisible placeable items;
  • Fixed a bug related with arrows;
  • Fixed several visual bugs;
  • Fixed some bugs where some texts were displayed incorrectly;

    Beta 1.0b
  • Fixed a bug that caused items to duplicate themselves or vanish from inventory;
  • Fixed a bug that caused some animals to respawn after autocapture;
  • Fixed a bug where a tranquilized animal will end up dead if it previously received damage from another source;
  • Fixed bug where dragging an item to a slot from quick bar that was previously selected caused the item to not being properly instanciated;
  • Adjusted water appearance to blend better with horizon and distance fog;
  • Adjusted sun settings for daylight to be longer (sunrise at 5 in the morning and sunset at 9 in the evening from now on);
  • Slightly adjusted player controls;
  • Several sounds were replaced;
  • A UI volume slider was added;
  • Fixed a bug related with the journal;

  • Fixed a bug with arrows reverting to the default one;
  • Fixed a bug with mutants respawn being too fast;
  • Fixed bug related to the completed tasks (not counting properly)

  • Some sounds were updated;
  • Fixed craft menu not showing all options into a single category;
  • Fixed a bug that caused items in containers with animation to not display all the information;

    Beta 1.0d
  • Fixed visual consume bug for items that restore a small amount of player stats
  • Fixed visual bug when picking up the loot from an animal with MaterializeFX
  • Fixed visual bug with the arrow radial menu (not selection the proper arrow when opening the radial menu)
  • Fixed visual bug related to the arrow selected through the radial menu (arrow type + quantity, it flickered when the menu was opened)
  • Fixed volume of music when returning to the main menu
  • Fixed volume not properly adjusting the volume value according to the players' settings
  • Fixed missing items when moving them between inventory and containers
  • Fixed several visual glitches
  • Adjusted some sounds

    Beta 1.0e
  • An important change was made. Upon death, the player will not drop the entire inventory anymore. Instead, half of the gold coins will be dropped and they can still be retrieved as before by returning to the death location;
  • Production time for all settlements was reduced to 4-6 hours only;
  • Most of the settlements and all planters received a visual upgrade;
  • Nova, Snowridge Heights, Eagle's Nest and Landbase maps received a small visual upgrade;
  • Updated footstep sounds;
  • Adjusted the volume of some sounds;
  • Swimming speed was incresed;
  • The UI for trading was slightly updated;
  • Adjusted horse triggers so the horse will no longer block pick ups around him;
  • Fixed a bug related to arrows;
  • Fixed a bug that caused some animals to respawn after autocapture;
  • Fixed several bugs related with autosave;
  • Fixed a bug with missing legendary fox in Nova;
  • Several placeable items that caused glitches were fixed;
  • Mouse lock improvements were made;
  • BUGFiX: Shift+Click a stackable item into a full inventory from the quickbar to the inventory caused the item to vanish;
  • BUGFiX: Player stats such as stamina etc. were loaded with delay (a few seconds);
  • BUGFiX for Fences and Settlements categories from Advanced Workshop (incomplete/partial last line);
  • BUGFiX: Visual bug when transffering animals from a container to the inventory and vice-versa
  • BUGFiX: Loading process didn't properly load the settings for the items from the quick bar;
  • Attempted to fix a visual glitch that sometimes appears in Arpashi;
  • Some prices and recipes were updated;
  • Updated several item descriptions;

    Beta 1.0f
  • All player stats are now set to 20 after death;
  • Nova, Amber Hills and Arpashi were slightly updated;
  • Small changes to environment lighting were made;
  • Some prices were adjusted;
  • Updated the look of horses from Land Base and Corpse Harbor;
  • Fixed hitboxes for some creatures;
  • Fixed couple of bugs related with tasks;
  • BUGFiX: When consuming an item and switching to a different category, the cooldown effect remained active on the inventory slot;
  • BUGFiX: Exploit to get extra gold coins after splitting a stack, placing it into the vendor container and taking it back;
  • BUGFiX: Dragging and dropping a stack of items over a different slot of the same item with full stack, caused the full stack slot to disappear;
  • BUGFiX: Reset last inventory mouseOver slot index to -1 every time the inventory is opened to prevent random item grabs during opening of the inventory;
  • BUGFiX: Radial Menu for Arrows got stuck on screen then changing to a non-bow weapon then pressing the arrow menu key;

Please note that currently, the game is incompatible with the new AMD graphics drivers therefore incompatible with most AMD Radeon video cards, but we are struggling to find a solution soon.

Hello Everybody, Animallica Alpha 4.7 is here with a small Christmas update!

Patch Notes:
  • A Christmas Tree and gifts were added in Arpashi;
  • A new legendary animal was added;
  • Over 20 new crafting recipes were added;
  • 10 new table clutter props can now be bought from the general goods vendor;
  • Some old, poor looking items were removed from the crafting menu;
  • A search bar was added for Codex;
  • Disabled ritual fire code in creative mode;
  • Several small bugs and visual glitches were fixed;

Hello Everybody, Animallica Alpha 4.6 is here!

Patch Notes:
  • Creative Mode was added. The new game mode strips away the survival aspects of Animallica and allows players to easily create large scenes with the help of free and infinite placeble items. In Creative mode, players have no health, stamina, thirst or hunger bar to hamper their building and travel between maps is disabled. All the items can be obtained from the menu we call CODEX;
  • Four new legendary animals were added. They were named after active members of our comunity;
  • Several maps were slightly updated;
  • Several more bounty hunter treasure chests were added;
  • Added the Shift+Click transfer command for the breeding center;
  • BUGFiX: The arrow set by the player wasn't properly kept in the save file, causing it to reset to the default one;
  • BUGFiX: HP decrease when eating rotten food was missing;
  • BUGFiX: Transferring items with Shift+Click from Quick Panel to inventory when the inventory was full caused the items to vanish;
  • BUGFiX: The code for dropping the items that were in a container that was destroyed didn't work;

Patch Notes v4.6a:
-> BUGFiX: Fixed arrow issues (the arrow was reset to the default one, aka not saving properly);
-> BUGFiX: AutoSave was wrongly set on 30 seconds;
-> BUGFiX: Cream persian kitten was unselectable;
-> BUGFiX: Several icons had problems displaying correctly;
-> Addition: A dropdown menu was added to set the autosave interval. Out recommendation is to set autosave on disabled then re-enable it right away and set the time that suits your needs. Also, the autosave will skip that if you have the inventory opened or a container. Keep in mind that autosave is still experimental and it will freeze your game briefly when is reaching the autosave interval.

  • A new animal was added: Japanese Red Fox;

Hello Everybody, animal breeding is finally here!

Patch Notes:
  • Starting with this update, animals will be able to breed. To obtain offsprings you will need a breeding center (craftable at the advanced workshop) and a pair of fertile animals (same species/same breed). Each fertile species will recieve at least one rare coat color obtainable only trough breeding. For now, only 13 species are breedable, but the list will increase with each update. Multiple breeding centers can be active at the same time;
  • Save System improvements were made;
  • Eight new farms/settlements were added;
  • New premade enclosures were added;
  • New animal shelters and decorative items were added;
  • New treasures were adeed;
  • New colors for sunset and sunrise were added;
  • All the tasks can now be completed;
  • Some crafting recipes were updated;
  • Some prices were updated;
  • Some models and textures were updated;
  • Cultsberg can now be cleansed 100%;
  • Multiple visual glitches were fixed;
  • Decreased volume for sounds like rain, storm, shotgun, mining and chopping;
  • Fixed several monster spawners in Corpse Harbor and Akhali Desert.
  • BUGFiX: Dragging and dropping an item in the same slot wasn't possible;
  • BUGFiX: Pressing ESC key while sleeping caused the game to enter in an infinite loop;
  • BUGFiX: Naming containers with the letter J wasn't possible;
  • BUGFiX: Some containers not saving the items inside;
  • BUGFiX: Aggro sheeps are no longer aggro;
  • BUGFiX: Broken code when showing text of special items on the bottom right corner;
  • BUGFiX: Consumable items from storage containers had the visual effect on;
  • BUGFiX: Companions on follow used to duplicate after each load;
  • BUGFiX: Credits pick-up from containers didn't work properly;
  • BUGFiX: Items bought from shops weren't properly tracked;
  • BUGFiX: Container to Inventory transfer issue, with the "to inventory" button, causing some items to vanish when the number of the available slots was under the number of the items that required transfer;

  • A new set of furniture was added. Over 40 new furniture pieces can be crafted using mostly the carpentry: full tables, cupboards, benches, beds, chairs;

  • Quick panel slots can now be switched with the mouse wheel;
  • A sort button for large containers was added (alphabetical order);
