Sadly we have an announcement to make today: Aloha Paradise Hotel will be taken offline at the end of March 2019. Therefore, the pearl shop has been closed from today, as well.

Since the fundamental technology of the game is increasingly not supported by browsers anymore, the game sadly cannot be continued.

Thank you for being such a great community over the years and we hope you had a lot of fun on Aloha Paradise!

After a long time we have decided that we have to update the pricings of ingame items. Pearls required for premium features increased.

The duration premium workers stay changed from 8h to now 12h.


Until now the game world ended with your buildable area. With this update we extended the view to the jungle in the west and the path to the next city in the east.

You can see more objects in the surroundings and step by step we will activate them with new functionality.

• Switching through objects now centers the landscape objects too.

The **Lighthouse** is a very exklusive building with new animations specially for hotel groups. It is a tombola exclusive but may be available in events later on.

The **big hut** has lots of room for vacationeers and is also a tombola object.



We changed the rules and contents of the tombola to have easier access to the new special buildings.

Winning exclusives easier

The minimal gains in the tombola have been adjusted to the higher pearl price so that the daily free lot gives higher rewards.
We still show a number of winnings with higher chances but these are concentrated to the more interesting and exclusive winnings.

Bonus-Tombola

Players who want one special building should have a look to the new bonus tombola.
This contains only a very limited content that changes daily.

Higher transparency

Both tombolas show all the possible winnings in an expendable state and all the minimal - and most often - winnings.

• Buildings and objects as rewards are shown with bigger icon at the marketplace and in the tombola.
  
• The modifications and boosts are now directly available on top UI level. Many players had not even used the free boosts gained from login.
  
• Marketplace and Main-Menu got cross references.
  
• The login page links now to our pages at Facebook, Twitter and to our Community-Trello
  
• We increased the performance of the questscreen that slowed down with lots of active tasks.

We have activated a special Event Quest - the waterfall opening - in which you can earn Pearls worth 5€! Be quick and grab them! The event will be accessible to all until the 1st of June 2018!

- Large Terrain Extension

Larger hotel grounds are now possible. A total of three new areas now double the maximum unlockable hotel area – but of course you will have to work for this extension. The area activation does not automatically happen with a higher player level. Instead, various objects need to be collected:

- Pink event stars from the special events

- Rare rubber ducks from bathing activities

- Money purses from the hotel group activities. Yes, you can really get them, they are just very rare items – but you won’t need the hotel extension straight away.

After that, the demolition of trash objects will be necessary, however, the amount of trash is lower than in the core hotel areas, so with each demolition a new construction area is opened up. On top of that, the objects aren’t dried up, so you can keep them as decoration if you like.

Also, good news for fans of the whale skeleton and monkey rocks: You will find these in our new areas as well! They’re trashy, but cool all the same.

- Location-specific decoration rating

So far, there has been a consistent assessment of the average decoration throughout the hotel grounds, but with the additional unlockable space this will change as follows: Tourists will only notice the decoration in the immediate vicinity of the buildings they use. It does not bother them if there are barren corners - as long as they do not live there and do not use any activities in that area.

This became necessary since through are large terrain extension there is now a much larger area available at different times in the game.

An advantage is that you can achieve a higher decoration rating for your most important buildings much more quickly.
For achievement and quests the average decoration rating for buildings still applies, though.

- Quest progress

In the quest window most of your quests now show your progress so can see how far you are. Also, the large special rewards of the quests will be shown.

- Gourmet and Fullmoon

As part of the fullmoon party, an event star can now be earned.
Also, the balancing of the gourmet week has been adjusted.

- Online optimization

Aloha is a good game to have running all the time, even when you might be doing something else, but of course this takes a lot of computing power, even when your focus isn’t on the game at the time. That’s why, if you are inactive in the game window, the animation of your vacationers will freeze until you’re back in the game. It won’t make a difference from the corner of your eye since comments and activity notifications will still be active. As soon as your active in Aloha again, everything will be back to normal.

- Other changes and bug fixes

The display time for player notifications in the chat has been increased.

Objects in the lower corners of the hotel grounds were sometimes not displayed correctly. This has been fixed.

A graphic issue with some of the trash objects has been fixed.

A display error when clicking a player’s name while whispering has been fixed.

Important requests are again characterized with a !.
The browser version now requires the latest Flash Version (29).

- New hotel classification: Superior

As hotel classification, Superior stands for a significant increase in service and offers.

In Aloha you will also receive this award from now on: Hotels from 1 star can qualify for the Superior Award during a special event once a month. First of all, the culinary service qualities of the hotel is checked during the gourmet weeks.

Those who qualify as a Superior hotel due to especially good service will receive a significant bonus on all vacationer reviews. It is also possible to exceed the previously maximum 5-star rating.

- New Event: Gourmet Weeks

Good food is an important part of a good vacation. That's why additional gourmet food will be unlocked during the Gourmet Week. These offers are only perceived by tourists if they have a desire for it.
For this purpose, an activity for generating culinary wishes is available at all reception areas during the event. In addition, vacationers with culinary interests can be booked in some residential buildings. These are also interested in the special offers without having a specific wish for them.

- Incorrect examination of clan projects corrected.

Available projects in the hotel groups were not always displayed correctly and it happened that, on occasion, individual projects could be activated several times. As a result, some hotel groups had too many members. This has been fixed and we informed the hotel groups: if the number of members was not voluntarily reduced in time, the most recently joined members were removed.

- Grill for hotel groups

With a new project, hotel groups can now set up a special grill buffet, which combines the offers from the fries stand and the small grill.

- Larger icons for buildings

All building icons were exchanged for higher resolution-icons.

- The display of the information tokens has been optimized, these can now be found on the top right of the screen.

- Activity buttons have been optimized.

- Display errors in projects were fixed

- The positioning of shop buildings in the right perspective was optimized.

- Buildings for sports apparel are now listed in the correct category.

-The Fullmoon event will now last one day longer (the events from the activity categories have been extended to one additional week).

- The new gourmet week has changed the course of the recurring events.

- The classic bathing season continues will still last a month.

- Superior gives you additional quality points and the maximum achievable rating will increase.

Dear hotel managers,

here is a summary of everything that we added with the hotel group feature:

• Intensive collaboration:
- The usage of releases is restricted to members of your hotelgroup and your friends
- The leader of a hotelgroup can start upgrades in order to increase the member-capacity.
- Every hotelgroup has a group-chat.
- The better your cooperate the better your ranking!

• Leaderboards:
In the leaderbaords the 15 best hotels will be displayed. The leaderbaords refresh every 3 hours.

• Information about contributions:
For the current and finished projects all contributions from every member can be viewed in the memberlist of your own hotelgroup. This iformation is only available for your own hotelgroup and cannot be viewed by any other hotelgroup.

• Collaborative expansionprojects:
- On their lowest level a hotelgroup can have 5 members. With each expansion 5 slots will be added until 25 is reached.
- There are more upgrade possibilities as well which unlock more activities for your guests.
- Each project consists out of 10-30 equal-priced parts which every hotelgroup-member can buy as many of as he wishes to, but all do have a cooldown.

• Group-activities:
- With the expansion-projects 15 additional special activities can be unlocked.
- These activities are a special version of already existing areas of activity, e.g. walking on the beach and more.
- With these activities special findings can be won which are required for other expansionprojects.

• Membership rules:
- Hotelgroups can be created and joined when reaching level 4.
- The hotelgroup leaders can decide at which rating a player can join (1-5 stars).

• Member-ranks
There are several ranks in a hotelgroup which can be distributed. Every hotelgroup can decide for itself, if and for which criterias members get promoted.

• The leader
- The leader has all rights: He/she can edit the description, start projects, promote, degrade and kick members.
- At first the founder becomes the leader. The leader can later give up the position for someone else and will take over the role.
- If the leader leaves the group, the member with the highest rank and longest member time becomes the new leader.

• Board of Directors
- Per hotel-rating-star an additional member can be promoted to be a member of the Board of Directors.
- Every member of the Board of Directors has almost all rights, except that the leader is the only one who can invite people to be in the committee.

• Manager
- Per hotel-rating-star 2 manager positions are available. Members can only get promoted to be a manager by the executive committee.
- So far the manager has no special rights. More to come in following updates.

• Member
- A member has no special rights.

• Beginner
- Every new member to a hotelgroup starts as a beginner.

• Unique buildings:
- Some activity-buildings can only be build once per hotel.
- If you already posses multiple buildings you may keep them.

Dear Florensians,

We would like to give you an update on the current situation:
At several IDCs of our provider OVH, a massive outage occurred at around 3am CET today. As of now the majority is powered back up but some are still missing.
In case of an outtake a power rescue system is usually in place , but for an unknown reason this has not worked.

Therefore, our whole system received an hard shutdown and with such a large environment as ours it will take a while to start up everything again.

Due to this unannounced shutdown, we have to check each of the systems for failures and unfortunately this is very time-consuming. Most likely you will be able to play again this evening.

We'll keep you updated on any changes and there will be an announcement as soon as you can play again.

1. Log into your Steam account
2. Launch Aloha Paradise Hotel
3. Go to the main menu (bottom left)
4. Go to the settings
5. Go to the player's data tab
4. Select the language you wish to use from the drop-down menu
5. Restart the game to change to the selected language
