A Hat in Time

One of the newest Humble Bundles contains a whole range of acclaimed indie games, including adorable platformer A Hat in Time, time-bending FPS Superhot, and relaxed barista-sim Coffee Talk. There really is something for everyone and every mood here, and the proceeds go towards Sweet Farm, a charity based around sustainable, compassionate farming on a global scale.

Of course, there's more than just those three games. As with many Humble Bundles, you can pay as much as you want, but there's tiered rewards based on how much you do choose to pay (these tiers are decided by how much people donate). They're outlined below as follows, though these numbers may change over time. If these look good to you, you can find the Bundle itself right here.

A Hat in Time

Around this time last year, indie developer Gears for Breakfast announced its delightful platformer A Hat in Time would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, and now we finally have a release date.

As of 18th October, the game will be available on the Nintendo eShop with the Seal the Deal DLC sold separately, or available to purchase as a physical copy with the DLC included.

A Hat in Time is an action-adventure platformer that puts the player in the shoes (or hats) of Hat Kid, a young girl trying to return to her home world. It started life as a Kickstarter campaign which doubled its fundraising goals in just two days.

A Hat in Time

Developer Gears for Breakfast is expanding its delightful old-school platformer A Hat in Time once more. There's a brand-new paid-DLC update - featuring a new world, 50-players online, and more - coming to PC on May 10th.

The new DLC, which has the descriptive (if not particularly snappy) name of Nyakuza Metro + Online Party, is the second to release for A Hat in Time, following on from last year's Seal the Deal. The focus here, however, is on the titular Nyakuza Metro - a sprawling, neon-hued underground world where Hat Kid will join a gang and indulge in her darker side.

Nyakuza Metro will, says Gears for Breakfast, feature ten new Time Pieces to discover, and adds a variety of new features. There is, for instance, a new sticker system, with players able to expand their collection through exploration of the world. Stickers can be used to, among other things, liven up screenshots or deploy as emotes.

Developer Gears for Breakfast's delightfully old-school 3D platformer A Hat in Time is heading to Switch, and there's new DLC coming to PC next month too.

In terms of the Switch release, there's admittedly not a lot to share right now: according to Gears for Breakfast's news-packed Gamescom announcement video, A Hat in Time is definitely on its way to Nintendo Switch and is simply "coming soon".

Moving onto more substantially divulged matters, however, A Hat in Time's new DLC, which was a stretch goal during the game's 2013 Kickstarter campaign, is called Seal the Deal, and offers a brand-new chapter's worth of exploratory platform action - this time aboard a luxurious cruise liner bound for the Arctic and staffed (inevitably) by seals.
