A Game About - Fear the Booboo
Hello friends! It's been forever and I need to apologize for that.

Making games solo is hard! I've been prototyping for the last five years. For a while the game Please Hold Me was going to be my next one, but I never managed to get actual support for it. Right now it's in a state I am not completely happy with, and life took over. I might get back to it one day, I might not, it will depend.

At the same time, a prototype I had worked on was getting some small but very positives attention. After presenting the project to the Canada Council for the Arts, I received a grant to work on the game. Obviously, the development of that game now takes first priority.

That game is Camille and Laura, a point-and-click about the daily life of a single mother. It is heavily inspired by the aesthetics of children cartoons (I've worked on some of them for years) and the cinema of Chantal Akerman. I just released the first official trailer for the game, check it out:

You can find the Steam Page here!

This will be a paid project. I cannot afford to release it for free like I did for A Game About. It would mean the world to me if you checked it out and wishlisted it if it sounds interesting to you. Thank you all for the support over the years, the reception of A Game About is still one of the best thing that happened to me and has been the main driving force in me continuing to work on video games in the last few years.

Sending all my love!

A Game About - Fear the Booboo
A few players have asked if they could financially support me for creating A Game About. It is now possible through the donation DLC! Note that DLC does not add any content to the game and is only a mean to send me love in form of a little tip (I thought $2 is about fair).

I am currently working on new prototypes, both for free and paid games, and while I can't promise right now that any of them will become a full-fledged game, I will promise that any money I receive from tips will be used to buy myself coffees* while I work on those prototypes.

I'm still amazed that A Game About managed to reach so many players. I still get a warm feeling in my heart reading the positive (and negative) words people wrote about it here on Steam and elsewhere on the internet. Just talking about the game already means a lot to me, so please don't feel obligated to buy the DLC if you don't want to or are low on money.

Thank you so much to you all. <3

*I only drink decaffeinated coffee right now as my therapist says coffee makes my anxiety worse right now, can you imagine?

A Game About - Fear the Booboo
Patch notes:
  • Fixed an issue where the game would get stuck in a loop during "The Next Day" sequence.

I also wanted to thank all the players and the Steam community. When I released my game, I did not expect it to get much attention, let alone get over two hundred reviews in less than a month.

I am sincerely humbled by the reaction to my small experimental project. It gives me hope to see that the game connects with people. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
