Hi to all 9DKA players.

Today, we must deliver a disappointing news which is related to the service close announcement issue.


From may of 2019, we've started our Free-to-play service on steam which has been a great experience to communicate with global BR fans.

However, because of several issues we have currently, we've decided to close the service and focus on on-going project including 9Dragons online and other PC game projects.


The server will be shutdown tomorrow 00:00 KRT(26th November 2019).


Again, it was a great experience we had during the service period and so greatful of supports we've received during that time.


We hope we can come up with better game project on steam soon and wishes best for all of you guys.

Hello guys

The server will be closed for the maintenance today(19th of July 16:30 PM KRT) for 4 hours.

This maintenance will contain various updates and changes for the game and we believe it will bring more fun to the general game-play.






[Summary]

 Like we’ve shared the basic thoughts for this update, this patch contains
a various major & minor change.

 Gado, which is our current game map has been reworked with smaller
size, object and field optimization and several changed game rules.

 New Weapon type, “Gauntlet” has been added.

 Basic balance for the game-play including the combat balance has been
optimized

 Major & Minor bug fixes including sounds, animation and UI


[Rework on Gado]

 There were two island which connected by bridges. And because of
feedback that we’ve received frequently, we’ve decided to minimize the
map size by using right side of island only and extend the island’s
shortly to optimize the game play.

 Therefore, the Gado will now contain 5 Ruins, 3 Dragon’s Jade, and 1
Altar of the Dragon during the game-play.

 Basically, there are 3 Dragon’s Jade out of 5 Ruins and one of the Ruins
will be selected as the Altar of the Dragon

 There will be only 1 Mysterious Lady at a time during the game-play.

 All locations for the item spawn have been reworked and re-balanced.


[Change of Game Rules]

Because of the rework on Gado which mostly related to the issue that the game area has been minimized, the basic game rule has been changed.

 When you activate the Altar, if other players in the area of the activation,
the time to finish the activation will be paused.

 Once you activates the Altar, the Dragon’s Jade will be removed from
your inventory and be placed at the center of Altar.

 If you’ve been eliminated by another player during the activation, the
player who eliminated your Character will take over the activation
immediately.

 The time to finish the activation has been decreased to 90 seconds (120
seconds at the original version).

 The time limit for the lava trap to be activated has been decreased to
660 seconds (750 seconds at the original version).

 The limited area that starts when player activate the Altar has been
decreased to 20 meters (100 meters at the original version).

 The activator of the Altar won’t be affected by the Deadly fog anymore.

 Player won’t be affected by the damage from the falling anymore.


[New weapon type: Gauntlet]

 The concept of the Gauntlet was motivated by several Chinese
traditional Kung Fu.

 In 9DKA, the Gauntlet will have extremely short and narrow attack
range, but it can be deadly at close range with stun, knock-back and the
combo attack.

 You can also check the weapon skin from the lobby.


[Balance fix]

<Item Balance>

 All potion’s duration has been increased to 96 seconds (from 35
seconds).
 All elixir can be taken by 3 for the maximum (from 6).

 Tianjin Peach will increase the maximum HP by 150 (from 160)

 Hefei Mushroom will increase the maximum CP by 50 (from 120)

 Corea Ginseng will increase the attack power by 20 (from 16)

<Skill Balance>

 All LMB Power skill books has been increased of its effectiveness
 1Lv : 5% -> 10%
 2Lv : 10% -> 20%
 3Lv : 20% -> 30%

 All RMB Power skill books has been increased of its effectiveness
 1Lv : 15% -> 20%
 2Lv : 30% -> 40%
 3Lv : 50% -> 60%

 All Q Power Skill books has been decreased of its effectiveness
 1Lv : 50% -> 30%
 2Lv : 100% -> 60%
 3Lv : 150% -> 90%

<Character Balance>

 Character’s original maximum HP is now 330 (from 480)

 Character’s original maximum CP is now 330 (from 360)

 Character’s original attack power is now 21 (from 8)

 When Character levels up, it will increase the maximum CP by 30 (from
60)
 When Character levels up, it will increase the attack power by 7 (from 8)

<Weapon Balance>

Sword

 Sword’s LMB attack effectiveness has been decreased to 35% (from
49%)

 Sword’s RMB attack effectiveness has been decreased to 60% (from
116%)

 CP that requires to use Sword’s RMB attack has been increased by 41
(from 38)

 Sword’s RMB attack speed(projectiles) has been increased by 100%

 Sword’s Q attack effectiveness has been decreased by 115% (from
161%)

 CP that requires to use Sword’s Q attack has been decreased by 39
(from 40)

Spear

 Spear’s LMB attack effectiveness has been decreased by 39% (from
62%)

 CP that requires to use Spear’s LMB attack has been increased by 13
(from 8)

 Spear’s RMB attack effectiveness has been decreased by 75% (from
145%)
 CP that requires to use Spear’s RMB attack has been increased by 52
(from 41)

 Spear’s Q attack effectiveness has been decreased by 28% (from 57%)

 CP that requires to use Spear’s Q attack has been decreased by 47
(from 55)

Chi Blaster

 Chi Blaster’s LMB attack effectiveness has been decreased by 28%
(from 37%)

 CP that requires to use Chi Blaster’s LMB attack has been decreased
by 16 (from 20)

 Chi Blaster’s LMB attack speed (Projectiles) has been increased by
100%

 Chi Blaster’s RMB attack effectiveness has been decreased by 90%
(from 150%)

 CP that requires to use Chi Blaster’s RMB attack has been increased by
58 (from 53)

 Chi Blaster’s RMB attack speed (Projectiles) has been increased by
270%

 Chi Blaster’s Q attack effectiveness has been decreased by 125% (from
171%)

 CP that requires to use Chi Blaster’s Q attack has been increased by 88
(from 63)


[Minor Changes]

<Sounds>

 Footstep sounds has a variation by the condition of the ground (sand,
stone, wood …)

 Sounds from receiving attack has been applied by each type of weapon

 Sounds added when the Character is eliminated

<Animation>

 Animation from Spear’s RMB attack has been changed

 Basic animation of Sacred Flower Character from the lobby has been
changed

 Animation that shows when Character receives the attack will start and
end faster

<UI>

 You can check the additional Character’s status such as: attack power,
charged elixirs from the inventory screen(Tab)

 Basic Camera angle during the game-play is now slightly far from the
Character


[Bug Fixes]

 Unexpected situation or crash during the movement & Chi step process
has been solved.

 Issue that showing HP/CP bar even the Character is in stealth mod has
been solved.

 Unexpected situation or error when dropping/changing weapon has
been solved.

 Issue that freezing situation when player use skill during the dash action
has been solved.

 Graphic mesh issue on Heavenly Demon Character has been solved.

From this announcement, we’d like to share our first major update plan which will be applied in early July.

After few weeks from the Early-Access open, we’ve received various feedbacks (great thanks to all you guys, it really helped us to decide future dev plan!), and we will start to apply it including our original development plan from this first major update schedule.

1. Summary

- The update will include localization issues, game area optimization, new weapon type, UI fixes, and bug fixes.


- Currently, we’ve received many requests about the localization for certain countries and we believe it is worth trying to let the player enjoy the game based on their language. It is hard to tell the exact date which can be applied, but we will try our best to apply on 1st or 2nd major update.


- One of the most received feedback is about the size of the current game area. 9DKA aims that the game goes fast enough to feel the intensity of the melee combat and maintain it until the game ends. Therefore, we’ve decided to make a big change in our current game map including the basic subject for the game.


- The rest of our plans for the 1st update can be found at the “Details” section.




2. Details

2.1 Localization
- Full-text translation including GUI(Russia will be our first option).
- We will add more localization update step by step in the future.
- We will try our best to apply it at 1st or 2nd update period.


2.2 New weapon type, “the Fist”
- “The Fist” is one of the manliest weapon types in Martial-Art history. This weapon type will have a great advantage on close melee combat including “Stun” and “Knockback” ability.

- During the Early-Access period, we’re going to update more weapon types and we believe at the end of the Early-Access, the game will provide plenty of choices to suit your appetite.


2.3 Changes on the current game map
- Like we’ve explained this issue at “Summary”, lots of players gave us the feedback that the size of the current game map decreases the intensity of the game.

- To solve this issue, we’re going the resize the current game map and apply one island as a total game area(from two islands with bridges) with 25 maximum players.

- From our latest alpha test with this change, we found out that the game goes with enough speed and much more intensity.

- The new map will have 4 ruins and 2 spawn locations of the Dragon’s Jade.
- Item spawn rate scaling will be also done before the update so the gameplay can go smoothly.

- If these changes look positive after the patch, we’re going to optimize the game area to finalize the issue.


2.4 UI Fixes
- From the patch, the player will be able to verify the attack ability and consumed elixirs on the inventory page(Tab).


2.5 Resource updates
- The footstep sound of every Character will be optimized.

- There were some people who told us that the sound resource is from “Minecraft” and to avoid the unnecessary argument, we will add the URL that proves it is a free-licensed sound resource which updated in 2005.

- We’re going to upgrade the quality of our sound resources step by step in the future update period.


2.6 Bug fixes
- There is a list of bug fix which will be updated on the actual patch note.

- One of the issues that are still on-going with development is a client crash(CTD) which happens randomly. We will post another announcement to discuss the process of bug fix before the update.

Hello, it’s been a while from our last beta service announcement.

On 27th of May 2019, we will launch our Early-Access version(F2P) on steam and we must say with the support from 1st & 2nd beta testers and gamers all around the world who’ve shown interest to our project.



We’re going to share several main issues that related to 9DKA Early-Access service and the dev note. We really hope this game can give unique experience to all gamers in 9DKA and we’ll meet you in Gado soon.

1. 9DKA will be a free-to-play game

- It was the most issue that hard to decide for our team. However, we also believe it is very important to provide a chance to experience our game as much as we could and decided to be a F2P game.

2. The update schedule for Early-Access

- We planned to proceed maintenance for every 7 weeks with major & minor updates.

- The maintenance will contain bug fixes and updates in the various area including changes by user feedback.

3. Dev changes from 2nd beta

- Major changes from the last build (2nd beta) are the optimization of combat animation, massive updates on basic functions and UI.

- Besides the major changes, there are plenty of minor changes from tester’s feedback that affect basic gameplay.

- We will announce the detailed version of Early-Access dev note on our official community

Since it is a beta service, it has a few major/minor issues that could bother your game play.

The Character could freeze for a 1~2 sec during the combat and we suggest to use consumable items or try to use jump attck(spacebar + LMB) if your Character has been freeze.
