Korion and Andrade Games join forces to bring „1917 – The Alien Invasion DX“ to Nintendo Switch this week

Ludwigsburg, 18 June, 2018 — Korion Games published the release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Andrade Games‘ genre jewel “1917 – The Alien Invasion DX”

A feast for nostalgics and a furious ride for beginners of the genre: The newest rendition of this memorization “Bullet Hell” shooter presents itself in a completely new light on the Nintendo Switch. With special adaptations for the portable system and the addition of a cooperative multiplayer, it also packs a lot more content than the initial release two years ago. "I am glad to see 1917 DX on Nintendo Switch - the ultimate Shoot 'em Up machine.“, developer Sebastian De Andrade says, hinting at the origins of the genre on Nintendo platforms.
All levels come with increasing difficulty and with a boss fight at the end - the heart of the game. Different airships, weapon types and special attacks are necessary to successfully stop the alien invasion. The more numerous the masses of annihilated alien adversaries are, the more glorious the victory is scored.



This release on Nintendo Switch is now the definitive edition of the game that both challenges hardcore players and, with the help of the coop mode, also helps beginners entering the genre. "It is a challenging game, but with enough patience and level memorization you will beat it", Andrade emphasizes. The NIntendo Switch version will be available in Europe, Australia and North America on 22 June, 2018.

The German Crust Metal band Hellknife releases a new music video in cooperation with the German indie game developer Sebastian de Andrade.

Both are living in the area around Mannheim and both are into uncompromising art. While Hellknife is playing hardcore Heavy Metal, the game studio Andrade Games is producing classic shooting games in the style of the 90s arcade machines.

Indie developer Sebastian de Andrade tells:
"I saw Hellknife at the Rhein Neckar Metal Festival X and was instantly enthusiastic about that we are speaking the same artistic language. Their newest cover artwork shows the Mannheim water tower, skulls and a heavy tank, and I immediately realized that we had to carry out a joint project, because one level of my current game "SturmFront - The Mutant War: Übel Edition" takes place in Mannheim.”



"SturmFront The Mutant War: Übel Edition" is the 2nd game by developer studio Andrade Games, set to release on August 11th. It is a sequel to the 2016 shoot 'em up game "1917 - The Alien Invasion DX", which is also available on Steam.

The talk had a fine and friendly atmosphere with some inquisitive students and young people who want to become game designers.



I told them about the reality of this hard and unforgiving business and that they need a fighter attitude to survive.



At the end of my talk I asked: "Who want's to develop games in the future?" and 50% of the people in the room raised their hand. So good job on my side.

hopefully they dont develop nasty casual games....
