Our development team has big news to share with you today - the full release of Sea of Craft is coming on March 10th! Following meticulous polishing and optimization of the Early Access build, the team are proud to unveil new and improved shipbuilding parts, game modes and other features!

Sea of Craft offers over a hundred distinct shipbuilding parts to put to work in environments ranging from barren deserts through lush archipelagos and endless open ocean, all built on a realistic physics framework for unlimited creative potential. Join the pantheon of master shipbuilders and satisfy your every whim at the Ship Expo, where you and other captains around the world upload and share the blueprints to your finest works, be they titanic warships or fearsome airborne dragons. Pilot your very own vessels and wander the opens seas, quest for treasure hidden amongst the archipelagos, join hair-raising melee battles and do battle with fierce pirates and sinister monsters from the deep. The immersion knows no bounds!

Hello Captains!

It has been a long time since the last updates, we are happy to share the news that we have an mega version to update!

The focus of development revolves around the improvement of the core game experience, new AI-added PVP mode, new air-craft related parts and some suprising things.

We received lots of feedback and suggestions raised by you guys and fixed or optimized more than 70% of them. At the same time, you can try out the new multiplayer content which was mentioned most from you.

In the future, we will develop more single-player gameplay, more community-based Ship Expo, automatic and flight-related parts. We have basically completed the development of these contents and we can update them in the next versions.

Here are our release notes for this update

2. Fixed the bug that the center of gravity of the ship was randomly positioned after module combined.
3. Optimize the sound effect caused by too many combine and separate functions
4. Fix the problem that each combine and unbind will cause the object to fall off ( lost joint connection).
5. Fix the issue that the ship in the tutorial cannot be loaded.
6. Fix the bug of overlapping game Background Musics in the boot scene.
7. Fix the bug of tutorial scene camera threading.
8. Fix the interaction bugs between gate and hook claw in Campaign1 Level4.
9. Fix the crystal interaction bug of Campaign1 Level7.
10. Repair Campaign3 Level1 iceberg collision.
11. Fix the bug that PVP players' HP is not synchronized.
12. Fix the bug of template loading failure in Open Sea.
13. Optimize the issue that the number of parts clicked for collection is not limited in Open Sea.
14. Fix the bug of refreshing the level of Open Sea.

Hello Captains!

We know it has been a long time since the last update and we wanted to share news with the community over the state of Sea of Craft development before the holiday break.

First, we will participate in the Steam Winter Game Festival at a discount!
But, most importantly, we want to tell you what we have been working on lately. The focus of development revolves around the improvement of the core game experience, frame optimization and build stability.

1. Core gameplay experience improvements. (Including camera recorder, build feeling and build functions)
2. Framerate and build stability optimizations.
3. A new Ship Expo (many more social functions than the current version)
4. A new PVP mode (great optimization of new mode and existing mode)
5. New automation and flight parts
6. New single level

Now, we know that you want to know when some of those improvements will be available in the game. We are working to push a new game update in the next couple of weeks.

But that is not all, we have been working to fix a series of bugs submitted by players in the community.

The development team is grateful for the feedback and suggestions raised by the captains, and we are working to address what we reasonably can do to create a better Sea of Craft.

Version preview

Captains! Glad to tell you that in the next update we will bring you some giant changes! In the last two months we have prioritized the multiplayer mode based on the feedbacks from you. There have been a lot of improvements made to the multiplayer content. Captains will be able to experience more intense and exciting PVP gameplay in the future!
We also prepared a brand new mode: Multiplayer Defense Mode - cooperate with other captains against enemy ships! However, as the patch stability has not been tested, we need more time to make sure the version is stable enough to release. All the new contents will be live in the upcoming version soon, please stay tuned!


Update content

We optimized the aerodynamic function and made a new part-Paddle (testing) , which can be used for the implementation of fixed-wing aircraft construction. However, the parameters of this part is not stable, we will keep optimize until it's good enough. Please remember to save the SOC file frequently.

In addition, this update contains five new parts:

Foreword
After a week of troubleshooting, we are excited to push the latest version live. Some of the high priority problems reported by players in the past week have mostly been fixed in this update.

When the update is complete, you should be able to have a feeling that our game runs much more smoother than before, because we have repaired and refactored a lot of logic in memory management and usage. At the same time, we adjust parameter of several parts which are frequently used to optimize the buoyancy performance. The remaining mparts will be adjusted after fully tested, and will be updated sequently.

At present, we have fixed most of the problems that can be reproduced and located. We have recorded the feedback of some bizarre bugs (such as system compatibility, hardware, etc.), but since there is no other relevant information, we can only rely on our teamates to manually investigate them. But don't worry, any issues we've promised to fix will eventually be resolved.

The focus of the next update will gradually shift to the optimization and iteration of the game experience. We will solve the camera control, construction feel, custom buttons, adsorption and other problems that comes from our players feedback when the game is launched.
