What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is my first published game and I want to understand the market. I feel there is something very playable here and I want to let the community guide it's path. This is a part time deviation for me from corporate boredom, I hope you enjoy the game as much I did creating it!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect it to be in early access for at least a year but not more than 2 years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Great question - Community feedback will drive the road-map. I expect to support languages as needed. Possible even a multi player spin. Integration with Steam cloud stuff like leader boards, achievements and cloud save make sense. Customized ships and other ideas are welcome feedback. I can do a lot more with the faster than light map and procedurally generated universe.

High Level Road-map:

  • Language Support
  • Controller Support - complete
  • Multiplayer - in progress
  • Steam Achievements
  • Steam Cloud Save
  • Steam API Leader Boards
  • Level Creator
  • Feature development

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game has 3 modes - Training, Story, and Arcade mode.

Training has 8 tasks of basic maneuvers. Purpose is to get the player acquainted with the game-play and how things work. Story mode has 16 levels of challenging fixed levels. Players time is recorded and the lowest time gets to be on leader-board. There are unlimited ships on both story and training mode. Arcade mode has auto-generated challenges. Players play for points and survival. There are limited ships in Arcade mode.

There are different types of enemies, planets, ship-boosts, asteroids and other features to make the game fun, engaging and re-playable.

See main description for additional features of the current state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, but not by much.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Going to listen very carefully to what the community says, especially any negative feedback that is founded in validity. I will make use of community pages and offline feedback collection methods.”

About This Game

Intersolar Overdrive was built on a gravity algorithm that lets you experience relative travel in deep space. Follow the story line or play in arcade mode for good old fashioned points. This game combines many favorites from the 1980's including Gravitar, Space War, Space Taxi and more.

It has procedurally generated worlds and is mission based for endless variations! Enjoy the chill feeling of nailing a perfect orbit around an Asteroid, Planet, or Star or the exhilaration of destroying space pirates whilst amping up your ship with upgrades.

There are 3 modes of play, Training, Story Mode and Arcade Mode. It is recommended to run through the training to understand basic maneuvers.

Story Mode:

Play for the lowest time! You are a Space Transport Delivery Pilot working for Nebuloun Corp. Nebuloun has a mission to extract rare materials from the various solar systems it works in. It has built a central station within each operation to work from. All was well until Nebuloun operations mined too far and unleashed an evil which has never been seen before! All 16 Nebuloun operations have been shut down due to an evil that calls itself King Boss.

You, pilot, must go to each operation and complete the mission objectives provided to you. Eventually leading to destroying King Boss!

Good Luck, Pilot!

Arcade Mode:

Play for the high score! Test your meddle in a dangerous universe. Destroy enemies and complete random missions to earn extra points.

Pilot, do you have what it takes?
