Why Early Access?

“Root Beer On Tap strives to be a game that is easy for many people to pick up and play quickly. It is also meant to be a game that many people of many ages can play, which right now is not the case, instead game play at the moment is somewhat dependent on the player being above a certain height. Feedback in early access will allow us to tune the game to make it accessible to as many people as possible. Early access will also allow us the time to add meta-content to the game, goodies and progression systems that make the game feel more whole than if it is only the level-by-level game-play.”

“The early access period of the game is planned to last for 3 to 5 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game will have a better sense of progression throughout levels, as well as system of rewards for further progression. Development throughout early access will also focus on accessibility, and feedback regarding difficulty to perform the motions required to play the game is greatly appreciated.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the primary game loop is in place. Players can work through all 17 levels, log their high scores, and practice individual levels in a level select mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will not change when the game leaves early access.”
