« We chose to do Early access to be able to get community feedback on Lavender before full release. We have been highly community driven in our direction with the game. »

« The planned full release date is Late 2020. During the Early Access process we will continue to be transparent with our community and keep everyone updated to the best of our ability. »

« Currently Lavender is in a closed beta state. In addition to what is already included in Lavender, we also are planning to add the following:

* Game Mode system
* Official content with open source releases for users to build off of and utilize as examples
* Polished user experience with phenomenal performance
* Full game server manager
* Unity HDRP for complex rendering which supports ray tracing (RTX)
* More to come

« Lavender's core feature set revolving around full body avatars, high quality in-game audio, content creation, and social experience is complete. People are able to get into game with friends and show off their amazing avatars and bring people into worlds that they have created. Our team has been working for the past 14 months to give our initial Early Access build incredible performance. Users may still experience strange bugs and one of our focuses for early access is to make sure the final product is fully bug free. »

Le prix du jeu sera-t-il différent pendant et après l'accès anticipé ?

« During Early Access Lavender will be available at a reduced price to reflect its current feature set. After we feel that the game meets our and the communities vision we will take Lavender out of Early Access and slightly increase the price on release. »

Comment comptez-vous impliquer la communauté dans le processus de développement ?

« Currently Lavender has an active Discord that allows us to have community discussions and one on one feedback from you. On Discord we post everything from test announcements to what we are currently working on. Having this platform allows us to be in active communication with our community and be as transparent as possible with our development process. Along with Discord we also use Trello so people can better follow what we are working on. »

What is Lavender

Lavender is a community driven social sandbox centered around users expressing themselves and having a great time. We want our users to be able to create and share their ideas in an easy and intuitive manner. We support both VR and Desktop players together on the same server. We are working hard to make sure you can create exactly what you imagine with ease. Personal expression is one of the cornerstones of VR. In order to satisfy this requirement, we pack a full customizable avatar system with outfits, physics, gestures and visemes.

We want you to be whatever you want to create.

One of our goals with Lavender was to make the smoothest possible VR experience for our users. To accomplish this Lavender is built on the newest version of Unity: Unity 2019.3.0b12, using Unity's newest ECS and DOTS technology. This gives us amazing performance, while also pushing what's possible in a video game like this. We provide an experience that can scale from a few players to hundreds in a single server, VR 'Full-body' and Desktop players alike.

This game contains users created content that may contain mature content. We do have a content filtering and flagging system that allows you to only see what you want to. Most of the mature content should be behind an age gate but because the system is automated there may be some things that slip through. To remedy this we have a flagging system in place for users to flag content that is not labeled as mature but really is.
