What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

Virus is still in the early stages of the overall vision for it in terms of both game-play and content. The best way to proceed with its development at this stage is to release it to the public for feedback, suggestions, and revenue.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Virus will be in Early Access for approximately 9-12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Virus is intended to improve and build upon what is currently in the game. In terms of content this would mean more maps, weapons, enemies types and models, animations, and game-modes. In terms of game-play this would mean improved weapon handling, more objectives to fulfill during particular waves, and fine-tuned balance/pacing. The overall visuals and aesthetics of the game are intended to improve as well throughout Early Access. This would mean improved lighting, weapon effects, impact effects, audio, and textures to help facilitate the most immersive experience as possible. Multiplayer will also be taken into consideration depending on the size and strength of the player-base.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Virus includes a tutorial and 1 single-player game-mode across 3 maps. The core functionality of the game is in place, aside from any balancing/pacing changes and new game-play mechanics that may arise. Overall content is intended to increase and improve.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of Virus will increase after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Virus community will be involved with frequent update announcements and involvement in the community hub.”
