Why Early Access?

“We’re utilising Early Access because we want customer feedback, suggestions, ideas, and include the community in the development process. We’d love for the community to be able to see Deflection Dimension grow, while seeing their own ideas and suggestions come to life. We also want the game to have as much content as possible for the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’ll try to have the full version released by the end of the year (2018). Giving us time to implement community suggestions and make the game as polished and refined as it can be.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version we’re intending to add a full story campaign, local co-op and multiplayer versus modes. Improved and expanded current features such as power-ups, enemy types and environments.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

Included in Early Access:
  • You’ll be able to play our endless mode, which has 2 worlds for you to explore, each having 3 floors infested with its own monsters.

  • 2 insane bosses for you to take down...if you’re up to the challenge

  • We’ve also got 20+ powerups which will make your runs much more exciting

  • Hours of Gameplay with our Endless mode

  • Seeded procedural generated levels

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to increase the price after early access based on the amount of new content and features added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As we want to make this game as great as it can be, involving the Community is very important part of this.

Balance

With the help of the community, we can work out the balancing of the game. As the levels are procedurally generated it’s difficult to get the balance between powerups and drops as well as working out the difficulty levels.

Bugs

This game has been in development for 9 months, we’re constantly fixing bugs while adding new content, this means new bugs surface and with the growing list of powerups and combinations, bugs are bound to pop up, we’d appreciate your helping in finding them for us to SQUASH! ;)

Suggestions

All ideas and suggestions are welcome, whether it be new powerups, enemy attack styles, bosses or anything else that you guys think will improve the game. All feedback is welcome. We’ll do our best to make this game as fun and challenging as possible!”

The biggest update is here!

Here comes the Monster

Today, we're excited to announce the arrival of Deflection Dimension's Biggest update yet, featuring Achievements, New Powerups, and a Brand New Game Mode!

As of Right Now, we have nearly 30 achievements for you to attain, with more to come in the future!
On top of this, we've added multiple new powerups, like the Holy Hand Grenade and a buff to Speculo's Stamina! Go try them out, we'd love to see what you can do with these!

We'd also like to introduce you to our new game mode! Survive as long as you can by battling through countless waves of monsters in THE PIT! Can you conquer our global Leaderboard?

Going on a Break...

As you may know, Ricoshot Games is made up of 5 people, all of whom are studying at University. We took a year out to build this company and to create Deflection Dimension, but we're all about to go back to finish our final years of study. Because of this, we're going to need to take some time away from Ricoshot Games and Deflection Dimension.

Don't worry though, as this will only be temporary and we'll be coming right back to ensure Deflection Dimension becomes the fully finished, fantastic game we know it can be! We'll also still be maintaining Deflection Dimension in the meantime, making sure it remains as bug-free as it can be. About This Game

Deflection Dimension is a 2D, rogue-lite dungeon crawler with puzzle elements. You'll play as Tim, who finds himself lost in another dimension without any tools or weapons. Make use of the magical entity, Speculo to bounce bullets back at your enemies. Together, you’ll fight through countless monsters, bust your way out of the dimension, and get Tim home in time for tea.

Features:

  • Gameplay
    If you think this game is a simple Dungeon Crawler…..you’re very wrong. It’s not as straightforward as pointing Speculo at enemies and standing there. Everything in this Dimension is out to get you, which is why you have the dash; it’s your life-saver.
  • Leaderboard
    See where you place on our leaderboard, comparing your scores to other players all around the world.
  • Dungeons
    The dungeons are made up of procedurally generated rooms and floors so you never have to play the same run twice.….Unless you want to. We’re adding seeds so you can share the same run with your friends & challenge them to beat your score.
  • Enemies
    Our enemies all have unique attack types and styles. You’ll face tougher enemies as you progress, each one with a different way to kill you.
  • Bosses
    You’ll encounter bosses of each world, who’ll face you with special attacks that even Speculo can’t protect you from!
  • Powerups
    A diverse range of powerups to change up the pace and explore different ways to defeat the monsters. There are powerups of various tiers that all affect Tim, Speculo, and the gameplay in different ways.
  • Worlds
    Each world has its own theme. Traverse the landscapes while solving puzzles, but be wary of the traps and monsters that lie within. In Early Access, we currently have 2 worlds, but are hoping to get 4 worlds in the full release of the game.
