Why Early Access?

“CPRC: Apex Hunters is an ambitious project developed by a small but dedicated team. Early Access gives us the opportunity to gather valuable feedback early in the development process so we can iterate and improve in real-time with data straight from our players.

It is worth the reminder that CPRC: Apex Hunters is in active development. The Early Access experience is not representative of the final product, and as such you will encounter bugs and incomplete features.

That said, we hope you enjoy it, and we look forward to your feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current roadmap has us planning to move CPRC: Apex Hunters out of Early Access in Q1-Q2 2023.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release of CPRC: Apex Hunters, we are planning to develop multiple maps (regions) to prowl, dynamic weather conditions, a fully fleshed-out procedural mission system with a variety of randomized goals for players to accomplish, player customization (models, etc.), and a player progression system which allows for each member of your Field Team to define their role according to the abilities and weapons they choose to take and upgrade. We will also consider adding more dinosaur species, weapons, and equipment over time for depth and variety.

Be advised that these are our plans, but may not 100% reflect the final product. In addition to cutting features, it is possible that features will be added which are not enumerated here.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As of the Early Access (re)launch (initial prototype 2018, relaunch 2022), CPRC: Apex Hunters has the following features:

• Seven different dinosaur species (plus variants) with intelligent AI that can dynamically form packs, share information, and outflank prey
  
• One map with two variants (times of day and weather conditions, both static)
  
• Hunt Mode, where players freely explore, hunt, and complete objectives for several proof-of-concept procedurally generated missions
  
• Survive Mode, where players defend a key location against increasingly difficult waves of dinosaurs
  
• Three weapons: Rifle, shotgun, and pistol, along with a tranquilizer rifle and your trusty fists. Ever feel like knocking a dinosaur unconscious with your bare hands?

Please note that all game modes (Single-player, online Co-op, and local Co-op) require a Steam connection for now, but we consider LAN support to be extremely important.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“CPRC: Apex Hunters will see a small price increase at the end of Early Access, but our goal is to keep the price friendly enough to encourage groups of players to pick up and enjoy the game together.”
