What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I have run an Early Access period for both of my previous games. During that time I try to bring in as much feedback about the game as possible and in General I respond to it all. My goal is to build a game the people love, to do that I need your help and your feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6-8 Months is the goal at this time. This may change as feedback rolls in :)”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More everything!

  • More Levels: At the start of Early Access there will be 2 levels, there will be 10+ by full release.
  • More Classes: At the start of Early Access there will be 5 classes, at full release there will be 10+;
  • More talents: There will be about 100 different talent options when EA starts, by full release there will be 250+
  • More Skills: There will be about 50 skills in the game when EA starts, by full release I expect there to be 150+
  • Simply more everything... More guild rooms, more systems, more UI elements, more gear sets, etc...
More classes, more story, more skills, more talents”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable, and the first 2 levels are in the game. I do expect there to be bugs, though I have been working hard to fix the ones I have found. The UI is functional but it will take time to really polish it up well.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I am not 100% sure here. It will either stay the same or increase by a tier or so.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Yes, very much so! That is the largest reason for me to do EA for this game. I am very active and responsive when it comes to feedback and I welcome it all good and bad!”

Patch .31: Stash upgrades

Hello Everyone!

Today's patch is fully based on feedback given since EA started, and also helps me set the stage for the next systems. The biggest of the features today is the guild stash upgrades. There are 2 of them, costing 500g and 750g, which each up your guild stash size by 1 row (7 slots).

Next we have placement in your party mattering. Initially I wanted this to be random as it produced more situations. But it has been made very clear to me (by quite a few of you) that it reduces the strategy elements, and I agree. So I have made it so that the characters places in the front of the part will spawn closest to the other team, and the ones in the back will spawn farthest.

Patch notes:

- Guild Stash Upgrades: each will expand your guild stash by 1 row.
- Unit order in a party now matters and the party creation menu now states where the front is (to the left), and where the back is(to the right). Innitially I wanted to have random spawn locations in order to make each fight a bit different. But there has be alot of feedback on this so right I have changed so that the placement in the party matters :)
- Tabs on the character menu no longer click through to whatever was behind them.
- Stash now high lights when there are new items in it.
- A blueish gray icon now appears over the tavern when it gets a new hero.
- You can no longer open your party window when turning in a dungeon quest (the is a temp fix for party inventory disappearing when both the reward window and the party window are open, I will work on a more comprehensive fix in the future).

Patch .30: Blacksmith as a room.

Hello Everyone,

Today's patch is adding the blacksmith as a room in the guild after the first level. Next patch the blacksmith in Galic (level 2) will burn down and a new building with a new system will take its place :) (this will only take place on new starts for level 2, if you are on level 2 now, you will still need to use the blacksmith on map).

Im sorry for the slow patching, my health has not been what I wish it was, and I am still dealing with it. But rest assured this project is my focus, and it will continue to grow :)

Please keep me informed on any bugs or crashes and I will work to get them fixed.

Patch Notes:

- The blacksmith is now a room in your guild house after the first level. This is the same process that will be used for other systems going forward...
- When a unit is selected items they can not wear become grayed out.
- Buildings now highlight when hovered.
- Fixed a bug in the achievents for charater levels.
- I believe I have fixed a memory leak from the game. There may be more, please keep me posted...
- Fixed a crash having to do with the game saving.
- Adjusted Zoom speed up a bit.
- Fixed a bug on the guild upgrade screen where buttons were not graying out when you couldnt afford the upgrade.
