Where is 'Angel Precario'?

Before I get to the point on where 'Angel Precario' currently stands, I want to say thank you first for the 100 members in the official group. Of course, I also want to thank the 500+ people who have 'Angel Precario' in their Steam wish list.
These aren‘t huge numbers, but I'm grateful for EVERYONE who joins the official Steam group and has 'Angel Precario' on their wish list. You are the best! :steamhappy:

But where is 'Angel Precario' now?
There is a clear need for explanation here, because a lot has happened in the past weeks and months. Let's just start from the beginning.

Actually, I had planned to release 'Angel Precario' either before or shortly after the week of E3. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the software I am using to work on 'Angel Precario‘. This software is not necessarily the best, but it is the easiest, most understandable software to use while I'm working on the main game, 'Angel - The Silver Sword'.

So, what are those problems right now?
Until just a few weeks ago, everything was still in development and working as planned, so good that 'Angel Precario' could have celebrated his release on Steam this week. Unfortunately, as you can see, this is not the case. There was an update for the software that I'm working with on 'Angel Precario'. The software forces the update to such an extent that it is impossible to reject it. If you try to refuse the update, the software won't start until you install said update.

So, I surrendered to the software and had the update done. The next problem came directly from the fact that my project 'Angel Precario' received the update as well. Since I had changed several things in the code of the game, the project crashed completely and made it impossible for me to save the project in any way. Even back-up files did not save anymore. It was a sad certainty that I had to start over.

That alone would not be a big problem. After all, I still know the workflow and what I've done, but the software update brought more problems with it. Originally I had removed various functions in the options and added some things. For example, the main menu had been adjusted by removing the "Gallery" menu. The "gallery" does not make any sense for me, because I have nothing to fill a gallery with. So, I removed it.

However, when I removed the gallery from the software code again, it left an ugly gap in the menu that unfortunately can not be filled. Likewise, any progress in the English translation has been lost as well. Unfortunately, everything is really lost in this particular part, so I have to start over again, before I can send the English translation to be reviewed and corrected.

In short, any progress I had was lost with a single software update. Unfortunately, that's why 'Angel Precario' is not available yet.
But, I promise you that the visual novel will be released in the next 2 or 3 months. I hope you understand this setback and are still interested in 'Angel Precario'.

About This Game

Life can be tough and it can change in an instant. It can immediately lead down a road of loneliness and depression.

A story about depression

The life of Aria Keiko was quiet and she never had to worry about anything, but one event in her life puts her immediately in a precarious situation, totally unknown to her. While she has to spend her time alone at home to study her way through high school, her mother travels to a university clinic to be there for her father, who's lying in a coma.
Akari, Aria's best friend, is the only one who knows about the accident with her father. She tries the best she can to not let her down and to be there for her whenever she needs her. But with other people not knowing about Aria's situation, people get curious about the friendship between Aria and Akari, which leads them both into precarious situations...

Small decisions with big impact

'Angel Precario' is a classic visual novel. We don't want you to read for hours before you can make your first decision.
Make decisions and determine in which direction the story develops.
Decide what you want to do. Make new friends, or avoid them altogether. But remember, the day may come at any time when you will need good friends.

A mix of emotional music and rocking songs

Every chapter ends with its very own theme song. Those songs describe perfectly the events of the chapter you've just finished.
We want to have a credible world for our players. So, we included here and there some music of the British rock-duo 'Anavae'.

  • Includes music by the British rock-duo 'Anavae'
  • Includes music by the German singer-songwriter Pat Daemon and Vist
  • Multiple endings
  • Even small decisions have an impact on the story
  • Soundtrack by the up-and-coming music artist MoppySound
