Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Starbucket will be in Early Access for roughly 6 months to 1 year. Most of the core features are in place and will be expanded upon based on player feedback during the Early Access period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The ability to design ships and engage in combat with friends is the core purpose of Starbucket. This system is in place and playable now, but needs polishing. The goal of the full version is an expansive universe in which to explore these player-created and randomly spawned ships, and to collect objects and materials along the way to upgrade the player's creations.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Starbucket currently contains a fun combination of ship-building tools and ship-destroying tools! Here is what to expect in Early Access:

• Build small fighters or large capital ships with an intuitive Hull tool
  
• Layout floor tiles and several interactive objects such as laser cannons, power conduits, elevators and teleporter pads
  
• Collect materials from crates on each ship for more design options
  
• Play with your Steam friends online and explore the ships they've made... or destroy them
  
• Choose from a small list of pre-built ships and modify them, or create new ones from scratch
  
• Ships are saved outside of the current game file so they can be shared and re-loaded after your friends destroy them

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will likely be priced up for the full version; however not by much. The benefit of purchasing Starbucket in Early Access is not to get it at a low price, but to be involved in the evolution of a great game, and to help it become the full experience we want to enjoy!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Communication will be key to achieving the ultimate goal of a fun game. We will have an active presence in the Steam Community and we currently have a Reddit page and Discord where feedback and experiences can be shared. We are looking forward to seeing what the community does with Starbucket!
