What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“To make the best game possible. Action games are only good if the controls, mechanics, game-feel, and gameplay are just right. And the only way to know which of these areas needs improving is to ask the people who know this best, players. The aim with Zap, Blast, Loot's development is to make it a two-way process and involve players in developing the game as much as is sensible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The aim is to release v1.0 in Q1 2020. This could change a little either way dependent on the progress made during development, but won't be far off it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More content will be the major difference. During Early Access new content will be added regularly.
This will include but not be limited to;
  • Weapons
  • Armour
  • Utilities
  • Enemies
  • Bosses
  • Alternate levels
  • Environmental hazards
And your input will help shape what is added.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can play through 8 levels. There are 25 weapons, 9 Utilities, and 36 helmets currently in the game. There are 17 enemies to fight.

Currently everything is very unbalanced, but with player input that will change.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will gradually rise as the game approaches full release. The Early Access price will be lower than the full release price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“User feedback is vitally important to the success of Zap, Blast, Loot. There will be regular developer Q&A sessions over on the Steam Community Hub to establish what players like about the game, or where there is room for improvement.”
