Почему ранний доступ?

«As a team with 2 devs, it's tough to make a physics-based VR game that required many testing. We need the Steam community to help us, getting feedback on new abilities, levels, mechanisms and the usability of level editor.»

Сколько примерно эта игра будет в раннем доступе?

«Approximately 15 to 18 months. There will be 7 chapters in game. By rough estimation, each chapter needs 1.5 to 3 months to create, but level editor may take us more time.»

Чем планируемая полная версия будет отличаться от версии в раннем доступе?

«We will have more levels, more mechanisms for puzzle, more enemies waiting for your challenge and beating more bosses to obtain more special abilities. We have a level editor for development and we use it to make levels for game now. We want to turn it into a functional level editor for player community and release with full version.»

«The first patch of early access provided the game of the prologue and half of the first chapter. The full version of Phantom Matrix will feature 7 chapters full story, 7 bosses, 7 abilities and a functional level editor. This means that we are currently at about one-seventh stage of the full game development. You can also check the timeline chart in the ROADMAP section.»

«We plan to gradually raise the price as we provide new chapters. The early access version will be cheaper.»

«We want the community be part of the development process to make Phantom Matrix be a more fun and more creative game. Player can participate in the discussion and voting by steam community or our discord server.
We keep an open mind on mechanisms, gadgets, VR usability and all other suggestions and ideas. We also need community to help us testing the level editor branches.
In particular, we would like the community to provide feedback on the following:
  • Levels difficulty
  • Physics glitches
  • VR usability
  • Level editor user experience

  • Defeat all enemies to proceed to the next room.
  • The enemies' only weak point is their hats. Throw objects at their hats to defeat them.
  • Challenge more than 60+ puzzles in the lowpoly world. More and more puzzles will be released afterwards.
  • Using various abilities such as magnetic, time, space, and various physical mechanisms to defeat all enemies.
  • Unique music and sound effects in harmony with the colorful visuals, all of them are inspired by plenty of YouTube music and meme culture.
  • No dizzy — only locomotion VR— in fact player will not leave the 2.25m² area under feet.


Phantom Matrix is a theatrical, physics-based, stealth puzzle action game in Virtual Reality. You are a game developer whose game has been robbed, your mission is to seek the truth after all mankind has been possessed. Armed with your wits and the "game" power, it’s time to save your game and friends.

7 Chapters, 7 Boss Levels, 7 Abilities (Gadgets)
- New abilities obtained by defeating Boss.


You and your six mates have created the best game in the world.
Just the moment you launch the game, a weird skyscraper suddenly drilled out of the ground and the big hands fall. Your game disappeared, your friends were missing, and all the humans in the world have been kidnapped. Four cats save you in danger, it's time to sneak into building and save your friends.


Throwing, tossing, shooting, etc., this game requires all kinds of skills because you need to throwing anything at enemies' head to knock their hat off.


Almost all gameplay and mechanisms in the game are achieved through physical simulation.
By the way, you need to be sneaky or the enemy will lock down the whole building.


You need a 2.25m² place for Room-Scale.
