Why Early Access?

I made a functional game that I think humans will enjoy. But I want to make sure that the player experience is great from all sides. Early Access provides Otis and me, an opportunity to get feedback from the players on what features they would like to see added; on how to improve the user interface and to help me squash a few bugs that my dog Otis may not have noticed.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

The game is nearly complete so I do not foresee a great deal of time in Early Access, 00I estimate about 6 months to a final build. Otis and I are new game developers and this is the culmination of my lifelong dream. I think there is no greater experience for me as a developer to see my vision entertain someone as I have, so many times with other peoples games. Since Otis is my dog, his programming skills are somewhat lacking, so I'm forced to do this myself, he's really lazy - and always very grumpy.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

The full version of the game originally included a comprehensive story and campaign mode, however, Otis reminded me, on one of his Beggin Strip benders, that not everyone cares about a story.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

The Early Access is about 80% complete. There a few tweaks and visual/audio improvements that will be made as well as a boss system.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

Price will not change when I leave early access. I want to be able to provide a fun game at an easy price.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

I want to hear from everyone! I want to know if you have any glitches or bugs to report so I can try to fix them. I want to hear if players are having difficulty learning any aspect of the game or if anything in our player interface can be improved. I want to know if the game meets player expectations and more things you would like to see. Otis and I will do our best to improve the game moving forward based on the feedback we receive.

About This Game

Do you like blowing things up? So do I, that's the reason my dog Otis and I made this game. Star Saga One is a fast-paced space style shoot-em-up that takes place at an orbital mine station in the middle of nowhere. It features 3 different weapon types and a personal shield when things get real hairy. This game has you pitted against hordes of deep space drones, each wave more challenging than the last.

Your weapons include your standard Blaster Pistol, the Wolf-PPK, with included rapid fire mode. The Ram-PPK Polarizer, which temporarily inverts your enemies target. The last is the Hart-PPK EMP grenade when you're surrounded and you need to take out more than you have time to. Your digital defense is a personal crystalline shield made from liquid diamond, but even it won't protect you if a strategy isn't on your side.
