What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are looking for feedback from a wide audience of virtual reality enthusiasts. We haven't seen a VR game quite like this and believe that player feedback is an integral part of a great experience. We know we can create those memorable experiences with the help of the Steam community, and we also appreciate the community finding all the bugs we've missed!

Let us be clear - the game is playable start to end credits right now! The Boss of Miney Company awaits your usurping challenge, which you can unlock by collecting enough Mineys, the Miney Company Store Money. Mineys are earned throughout over a dozen unique and exotic levels, all of which play to the immersion of Virtual Reality.

The Early Access part means we'll have extra time and resources to add more diverse gameplay and more customizations to make Miney Company a truly memorable experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“While we intend to be improving Miney Company for as long as there's an interest in it, we hope to release the Final Version (save for subsequent bug fixes) in Fall 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal is to continually iterate on Miney Company, which means adding to and polishing the existing experience, including more art, voice over narrative, and content. Specifically we are looking to add more levels and more types of data collection mechanics and tools (rackets and more) by which to hone those skills for the inevitable boss battle.

While Miney Company currently delivers an active and engaging experience, we'd love to have the time provided by Early Access to refine our art, particles, gameplay, and potentially add new levels. Only with the feedback from our players can we deliver a compelling experience, and we seek to compel our players. Specifically, our planned goals for Full Release:

* 5 New Paddles
* Each New Paddle Affects Ball Physics
* Art Revision For Each Level
* More Block Layouts
* System And Framerate Optimizations

Depending on community interest, we'd also like to do the following:

* More levels
* More powerup types
* Minibosses”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Miney Company is playable to the end with over a dozen unique locations! Our (non-microtransaction, non-loot box, one-price-for-the-whole-game and it's a shame we have to say that these days) in-game currency store enables players to spend their hard earned points on different rackets, or save up to defeat The Boss quickly. Hilarious and engaging voice acting by Aaron Lyons guides you through the exciting world of virtual data mining, filled with with data worms, pesky pop-up ads, and rival data miners.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We'll be offering the game at a Early Access discount and raise the price of the game once it reaches Final Release. Buy it now before it goes up in price and enjoy the regular content updates!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be actively engaging in numerous internet forums to respond to player feedback as much as possible. In fact, we want your suggestions right now! New paddles, power-ups, mission modes, and more, we want to hear it!”

Beta 5 date announcement - Friday June 15th

Hello all, I hope you've remembered to update your router's firmware, or at least turn your routers off and on again. As for us at Glass Temple Games, we've been working on the Beta 5 version of Miney Company, including fixing the re-centering option which didn't work on certain levels. For those curious about the new re-centering code:

// First, rotate gameplayDirector.playerGameObject.transform.eulerAngles = positionerObject.transform.eulerAngles; gameplayDirector.playerGameObject.transform.Rotate(0.0f,-playerGameObjectOffsetAngle,0.0f); // Then position gameplayDirector.playerGameObject.transform.position = positionerObject.transform.position; gameplayDirector.playerGameObject.transform.Translate(-playerGameObjectOffset);

As always, thanks for sticking with us through the game's development and be sure to leave comments or suggestions in our Steam forums!

About This Game

Miney Company: A VR physics-based racquetball-inspired game where you 'work from home' for your new employers Miney Company. Your job is to collect data blocks from around the universe for Miney Company to profit from by selling to the highest-bidding potentially nefarious multinational corporations. With 13 playable levels, multiple types of data-collecting mechanics, and different types of rackets, you can smash, hunt, and protect your data from rival data miners while hanging out with your location coordinators Albert, Benjamin, and Cecil.

Miney Company wants to connect VR enthusiasts with the data mining needs of fictitious multinational corporations. Our online data gathering matches freelance labor with borderless corporations and their bottomless demands for data, allowing labor flexibility and low overhead as well as high employment satisfaction for people who like to work in their pajamas from home.

"‘Eh, It’s a job. And it’s flexible enough that it doesn’t take away from my ride-share driving gig. I also don’t have to put on pants for it, so there’s that. Unlike my ride-share gig…" —Albert

"Miney Company sure knows how to look out for their employees! Wait, I mean look at their employees. They aren't too into data privacy if you know what I mean." —Benjamin

"It's not so much of a job as it is something you waste time doing and are rewarded with a fiat currency." —Cecil
