What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to make Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome as good as possible. Going Early Access allows us to have player feedback early on, and provide us with priceless insight from many different individuals. For an young company as ours, it’s important for us to build a great, engaged community that will stay with us, and help us shape this and oncoming titles.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It’s hard to give an exact date at this moment, but we are aiming at leaving Early Access no later than Q4 of 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will contain:
  • Additional enemy factions, with unique looks and behavior patterns.
  • Additional arenas, and new threats.
  • Additional playable cars.
  • New challenges and objectives.
  • Campaign/story mode.
  • Master of the arena mode.
  • Split screen deathmatch.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome contains Endless arena mode, which features most of the core mechanics of the game. Based on the player feedback, we hope to iron out possible technical or gameplay related issues, and implement the fixes on the go, as additional content is shipped.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Most likely, yes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to work with, and build an engaged community. We plan to do this on several fronts: Steam community forums, devblog, Twitter, Youtube, Discord and Facebook. As for engagement, we want to involve the community to have their say how should the final game will look and feel like, all in hopes to deliver a great experience for everyone.”

Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome gets an OST!

As you may know already, Nightwolf is getting an official soundtrack!

Some of this is a result of a lucky coincidence, but mostly due to how an awesome human being NIGHTRUN87 is. He's the artist behind those sweet tunes in the game. Since the beginning of Nightwolf project we never have thought we will be getting an A - grade music for the game, yet here we are! Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome will have updated soundtrack on the final release, so if you don’t want to wait, you can buy the entire album on the 1st of October on iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp and Spotify. For die-hard retro fans, limited physical copies (CD’s and compact cassettes) will be available. To stay up to date on this topic, simply follow the artist!

IN THE WORKS #4 - New game mode, new faction, car modifications and more

We hope you are having a great summer!
As usual, we are shedding some light on the progress of the game and where are we at.

Since summer is in full swing, some of us have gone for a long-awaited vacation, so that somewhat slowed down the progress of the game. But, fear not, lots of cool stuff is coming to Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome.

We want to start adding the rest of the intended mechanics to the game, and here’s what we have in store:

Car mods – car modifications, will be unlockable perks that you will find later in the game. Every mod you find is stored, can be swapped and exchanged at your will. Most mods will provide either a small bonus of a given feature or more powerful ones, will be counterbalanced with embedded penalties.

Master of the arena mode
Master of the arena will be a quick horde mode in which you will try to survive as long as you can. No upgrades, no store, one life. This mode will have separate leaderboards, and the top player will have his steam name and avatar displayed in-game inside the arena for all other players to see!

New faction
As we have said earlier, more baddies are coming to the Megadome!. We will be introducing a new unique enemy faction!

Since this update will make significant changes to the gameplay that will require a lot of testing – and tuning, we anticipate that we will not make it within our usual 5-6 week schedule, and expect to ship next (this) update at the end of August/beginning of September.
Till next time!

About This Game

Inspired by cult titles such as Interstate ’76, Vigilante 8 series, Twisted Metal, 80’s VHS action flicks, mixed with high – octane, synth music and rogue lite mechanics Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome is a new take on vehicular combat genre. You play as a contender in world’s most famous blood sport arena – The Megadome, where you have to make your stand against some of the most dangerous motorized killers out there. You are the modern day gladiator, your ride is your weapon, and your fame can mean the difference between death or glory.

Fight on multitude of arenas, and with host of different enemies. Varying enemy waves will not make this a routine for you.

Simply surviving is not good enough. What you do, and how, is reflected in your popularity. Please the sociopathic crowds with exciting, explosive show – expect prizes and buffs. Provide a dull performance – you are in for some nasty surprise.

Enemy fire is not the only danger present on the arena. Emergent environmental threats such as cybersandworm, laser walls, incinerators, to name a few, won’t make things easier for you… but you can always use them to your advantage.

There are only a handful of MEGADOME champions, so you are expected to die. A lot. While death means the end of current playthrough, you still keep your fame points that you exchange to upgrade your driver and ride… Become an ever more menacing MEGADOME contender.
