Why Early Access?

“I have tried to make the game as complete as possible in this version, but there are likely things I haven't thought about. I would like to make at least one round of significant improvements based on user feedback before taking the game out of early access, such as expanding on the aspects of the game that players like the best.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 3 months, depending on how much needs to be changed to make the game feel fully polished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I intend to add additional endless mode options, depending on what sort of experiences players would like to see more of. In any case, a full version will likely have multi-platform support, which I intend to extend as far as makes sense for this game.

A full version is likely to have improved artwork, depending on costs and provided that it can be integrated without hurting performance.

I would also like to add either a "save replay" feature and/or mixed reality support so that players can see how ninja they look while playing. Whether I am able to implement these features, however, will depend on some technical questions I have yet to answer.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All of the core gameplay is in place, including:

• Red and blue light-blades, with hand-swapping ability (can be turned off in Options).
  
• Easy and Hard options for gameplay.
  
• Story Mode with 10 levels, each level introducing a new challenge.
  
• Endless Mode ("Survival" challenge) of gradually increasing difficulty. Gain points by striking wisps and staying alive and try to beat your high score.
  
• Full user interface, including 3D buttons and animated tutorials.
  
• Island dynamically resizes to fit the dimensions of your play-space.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“If the features added to the game are substantial then the price will rise accordingly. My driving consideration will be: "what would my starting price have been if the original game included this set of features?"”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Common themes in what users request and what they like/dislike about the game will be a primary consideration in how I update the game as I move towards a full version.”
