Marketing and 0.1.1.7.a

Update Overview
This update focuses on preparing apocalypse for a final release later this week and adds the final couple of fixes and additions. I've also started dedicating much more time to marketing and reaching out to curators and steam users for honest opinions on the final build. Full details are shown below:

Available Platforms
Here's the current platforms the update is available on:

Windows 32 & 64 Bit (Available Now)
Linux 32 & 64 Bit (Available Now)
Mac 32 & 64 Bit (Available Now)

Changelog - General
Replaced the in-game configurations for a final release
Replaced the cut development content with finished content
Replaced all the main menu buttons with more sensible text
Made the starting up experience much cleaner and easier to understand

Marketing
There's a focus at the moment to get an honest opinion on the updates over the past year, because there was a 'gap' in the steam reviews. This won't be a huge change, but it'll give new players a better grasp on what the content will look like after the small purchase. If you feel like you're an online influencer and would be interested in this, don't hesitate to reach out to me via steam.

As usual, I'll be active on the community all the time, so If there's anything else you want me to add or fix, let me know in the comments, on twitter, the website, or email!

Leaving Early Access!

Post Overview
There's now plans for apocalypse leaving Early Access, which will take place next month! There'll be some large changes as a result of this decision, including the price, the story mode, and the support. However all these changes have been fully detailed below. Feel free to send me any thoughts.

All Changes
Firstly, there'll be a permanent price reduction. This project will no longer need funding which is why the choice has been made, this applys to every platform. It'll roughly be a 40% to 60% drop in price. Next, the community has sent in a large amount of feedback regarding the story mode, and the majority of players are more interested in the wave based areas of apocalypse. Because of this, the story mode is being removed and will be treated as a tutorial, and will have a smaller button in the main menu instead. Finally, in regards to the support, I'll be carrying on with apocalypse. The effort in the development will go towards fixing issues that are present though. Such as bugs, crashes, community posts, etc.

Support

I've finished the Windows, Mac, Linux, and SteamOS support! With every update being released at the same time. After purchasing one platform on Steam, all the other platforms will also added to your account. I'm also supporting Vulken, Directx 11 and Directx 12.

Greenlight

After three years of development, I'm glad to announce that we're on Steam! To the supporters, thanks for staying with the project and keeping track of the progress!

About This Game

Apocalypse is a showcase for a first person shooter, built entirely by one developer. Completely focusing on wave based survival, with all of the latest graphics technologies integrated together, such as Physx 3.3, Unity 2018.2, Directx 12, and the Vulkan API. Currently with 3 modes, 7 maps, 3 characters, and a tutorial mission included too.

Apocalypse is split between 3 modes, firstly, there's the pursuit and outcast modes, both are wave based survival, each of them have 3/4 different maps, both interior and exterior. Secondly, the tutorial mission will show players how to play in the future, with 2 different areas.

Thanks for checking out apocalypse's steam page, don't forget to have a look at the twitter account, the discord page or the community hub for constant development updates.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Violence is portrayed in the pursuit and outcast modes, regardless of progress or experience. Along with one very specific scene in the tutorial mission, within 10 minutes of playing.

Dark themes are portrayed in all of the environments across the whole game, in every mode, regardless of progress or experience. Such as blood and gore decals across rooms or levels, before any kind of combat or user interaction. Some static props across the game include dead bodies, syringes, medicines, etc. Some areas include hospital rooms, morgue rooms, etc. All these themes continue into the main menu, before any warnings or cautions to the player.
