Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« We want to bring this unique game, it's super fun game mechanic and very specific gameplay experience to the players as soon as possible.

We are confident that our core game mechanic is so extremely fun, that we believe the background "eye candy" will not be a significant factor that will deter our players from enjoying it.

Sure, it's nice to have beautiful special effects of blasts, explosions, etc., but it's all for nothing if the gameplay and fun experience aren't there.

We hope to have the support of the community to push us through this finale.

The "meat & potatoes" of the game are here, but the "salad" isn't yet. »

Pendant combien de temps environ ce jeu sera-t-il en accès anticipé ?

« Depending on the support of our players it will hopefully take us about 3 months. »

En quoi la version finale sera-t-elle différente de la version en accès anticipé ?

« 1. We will add the Easy Mode (possibly name it "Relax Mode"), for people that just want to enjoy fishing at a slower pace.

2. We plan to add and integrate the Achievements. Two of the most important ones would be something in the vein of "Finished the Fishing Maniacs 1 - Hard mode!" and "Finished the Fishing Maniacs 1 Hard mode - Not a life Lost!"
Some other general and specific suggestions from the community would be very appreciated.

3. We plan on finding an expert on 2D animation special effects to help us improve on the looks of things like water, explosions, smoke, lightning...

4. We would like to form a small 2D animation team that will work on the 16 cut-scenes that we have planned. Yes he story is in the game now, via the "Story panels", but there is no room there to tell the story with all the details and characterization it has.

The original screenplay is massive, at 138 pages, and it's already finished, so that's a good thing. But basically this means we would have to have 138 minutes of animated cut scenes! Which is a lot! More than 2 hours of animation! However we plan to tackle this problem by using the cut-out style of animation in one of the many modern animation tools at our disposal.

The 7+ characters in this game have turned out to be pretty charming and fascinating in the script, and they have taken a life of their own, so it would be a shame not to try and show you guys their full story.

5. We would like to make Trading cards if that is something the community would like. We do have excellent art that is begging to be used for something like that.

6. We could add cloud save support so that players could have their save games Steam Cloud, if this is something the users want. »

Hundreds of waves, and thousands of fish, await you in 14 maps, all ranging from small, to medium, to large and huge levels! »

« The game will be discounted at about 30-35% during Early Access, and we plan to raise the price either with every significant patch or after all the content planed for the full release is added. »

« By telling it how it is and taking in all the good advice possible.

We are pretty confident that the game is fun and exciting, but it doesn't mean there is no room for improvement. On the contrary, there always is, and that's why the community is here, to help us push this unique game to it's maximum. »

Story:

Meet Jimbo, Herb, Arizona, Billy, Lucy and Frank!

Fishing Maniacs is a story about these crazy cooks, a group of friends and family that get dragged into a very unusual situation when Chef Pier opens a Fish restaurant in a pristine wilderness nearby. The pressures of consumerism and greed push this fragile ecosystem to it's utter limits.

When Chef Pier was in trouble and needed fish for his restaurant, he begged old man Jambalaya to sell him some. But Jimbo couldn't catch enough fish, so he had to call his drunkard friend Herbert.
But it still wasn't enough, so Herb had to call his old buddy Dr. Arizona Jones.
And then Ari had to call his old army friend Billy the Bomber.
Who then had to call his ex-girlfriend Lucy.
And she then had to call that "very special someone", Dr. Frank.

So how will this story unfold?

Find out what will happen with this crazy crew of fishing maniacs by the end of "Chapter 1" of this story!
