“The full version will launch into VR, where you will be able to navigate in-VR to the site you want.

The early access version opens up the browser and you must navigate to a site in the 2D before entering VR.”

“The early access version of this application allows you to browse the web and view WebXR content without having to leave the application you are currently running in VR.

You can run WebXR content alongside the virtual environment you are already in. Use Metachromium run WebXR content from the web, like an AR layer on any SteamVR virtual environments and alongside other overlay apps.

The early access version includes all of the WebXR overlay technology of the final version. You can navigate to a site and enter WebXR.

The only thing missing from the early access version is that there is no in-VR UI to do the initial navigation.”
