What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are releasing in Early Access because we still need user feedback on our gameplay, and we are looking to add a multitude of new game modes, as well as any voice acting sound effects, and animations that we might still be missing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Eternal Essence is estimated to be in early access no longer than 3 months as most of our alternative game modes are already being worked on, and the game is nearly complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature: new game modes, more animations, more game boards, more voice acting, more sfx, as well as animated collectors cards. We are planning to add the following game modes:

- Tournament Mode
- Arena Mode
- Story Mode
- Puzzle/Roguelike Mode”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, our Early Access build contains a fully functional multi-player mode with both ranked and unranked play, as well as an AI to practice against. Gameplay is extremely well balanced and most animations and sound effects have already been implemented. All 136 cards are illustrated and ready for you to try out in whatever awesome or wacky ways you can think of.

Although we try our best to make sure there are no "game breaking" issues, the game is still in development therefore it will unfortunately not be without issues. However, we plan on addressing bugs and other issues and ideally get minor updates (bug fixes, small features, gameplay changes, etc.) out on a regular basis.

Creating any game, especially a card game featuring 136 unique cards is complex and takes time to get it right, but we are excited for you to join us as we put the finishing touches on our passion project.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be free at all times, with in-app purchases that are optional. We will reward early access users with additional, and in some cases exclusive content for their participation in this process.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be using forums, twitter, in game submissions and other social media platforms to gain any and all feedback and insight that you have to share with us. This project is a dream come true for us, and we are thrilled to share it with you. But we aren't done perfecting it, and that's where you come in!”

- Blur Entertainment Team

Eternal Essence was created by three passionate gamers in search of the perfect card game.

The (Almost) Perfect Card Game
- Highly strategic, Incredibly well balanced, Unparalleled Counterplay, and Very limited RNG
- Completely original Mana System which makes gameplay interesting from the first turn until the last
- Easy to get into, thanks to a beautiful tutorial/prologue gameplay, ample free card packs and daily bonuses
- Truly Free-To-Play! We’re committed to giving players the cards they need and the creative freedom to build any deck you can imagine

A multitude of ways to play:
There are four different creature types which can be combined in limitless deck strategies. Maybe you are the type who likes to go face, or do you prefer to create the perfect combo. Perhaps you enjoy control decks, or maybe you’re the scum who rejoices in milling your opponents. Discover these and many more strategies that await you.

Easy to get into:
Learn the basics by playing through our extensive tutorial/prologue singleplayer. Hone your skills against our challenging AI or in Unranked mode, and expect tons of free card packs as well as daily and weekly bonuses to help you bolster your collection.

Finely Balanced:
Tired of your games being decided by the RNG gods… so were we, that’s why you’ll find far less RNG in Eternal Essence than other card games out there, making it supremely balanced. You’ll need to trust your judgement, not your luck, if you are to be victorious. And we will be diligent in our balance adjustments every month to ensure a great experience for everyone.
