What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“So we grow our community, create awareness of the videogame in advance, share news and content with people so they can provide with feedback. With their feedback we can fine tune the videogame and prioritize new content, e.g. what new race and new profession to add in the future.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early access start with aprox. 1/3 of the areas and the main story line of the full videogame. It has been planned to be released like sort of a trilogy. The first part, which is the early access set the player in the world of Eternalia.
In the second part, the game unveils much about the story and main plots.
The third part, well, that is how you end the videogame.

In addition to a bigger world, final version will count with more playable characters, more items available (weapons, magical weapons, potions, etc), fine tuned combat, scripts and rules, more spells and other abilities.

While the early version only has one option for character creation; Male or Female, for a human warrior, final version should have more options in character creation; extra race or races and extra professions/classes. We can prioritize what race and class to add with our community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Playable and with multiple gameplay choices;
- Female or Male main character. Human warrior.
- Spiritual path; Benign or evil path. Depending on the path Player choose, there will be different companions and the world will change. First scene is Player´s childhood, with the very first quest where player get to make a decisive choice. Playing as neutral character can be complicated as Playable Characters of different alignments might end up leaving the party of fighting among themselves
- 3 large areas (The Cross, Vivace Forest and Heartbreak Valley) and over 8 smaller areas or interiors.
- At least 7 type of different weapons
- A magical demon weapon that accompanies you at all times...
- 12 different quests. 4 of them are optional. 2 of them are actually missions to recruit two new playable characters, depending on your Spiritual Path those companions you might recruit are different.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community will have a lot to say in the coming steps, fine tune the videogame and decide which extra content to prioritize, e.g. setting priorities to add a new race or profession. We have a list of possible races and professions, community may decide which one to add next to be available when you create your character at the beginning of a new game.”

Developing a new large city. See first screen captures.

Hi folks!

Working on Northern City, a major city with different districts. It is almost as big as all the previous levels and scenes in the videogame.

See how we start from scratch the scene in Unity, then adding different textures, 3D models, etc. We still have to add a lot more buildings. Once it is done, we will add trees, small details, .. and obviously people and a couple of quests.

Our idea to go easy on computers is that only one district will be active at the time, your party will be able to move freely all over the entire city. You can choose to move to any other district at any time (when not in combat or in dialogue mode). So basically we created this city in different pieces, and only the active district and close surrounding environment will be active, along NPC, lights, etc.

About This Game

The Essence Reaper Ritual is an Indie videogame, a classical epic fantasy RPG, where you lead a party of up to 5 adventurers. Your decisions will shape the world of Eternalia and the party members willing to join you. For now, we will release the beta version so you people can give us your opinions on the things you would like to change.

An ancient creature, the Great Necromancer, who was thought destroyed 1000 years ago is rising again, he is one with the power to absorb the essence of any living creature and even the very essence of the gods.

With the gods of not help for the living, what would happen if the solution is as daresome as the evil rising? What if the best solution seems to summon a mighty entropic demon with the ability to withstand the Great Necromancer´s powers? This is the story of the group of adventures who joined forces to save the world of Eternalia and make the decisions to change it forever. This is your adventure, these are your choices.

Your decisions will shape your character as well as others and the world of Ethernalia. By making choices during your adventures, your character will take a different Spiritual Path; Order or Entropy, Benign or Evil, or keep yourself apart remaining neutral to any of those universal forces. Your actions will define your character, but they will also have an impact on the companions willing to join your party as well as the regiments and allies willing to join your army ... or they might just fight against you if they have an antagonist alignment.

Essencereaper Ritual is a RPG (Rol Playing Game).  As a RPG game you will travel over the west part of the continent known as Ethernalia, looting, questing, killing monsters while followed during your adventures by up to 4 companions. There might be up 12 different companions that could join your cause. During the adventures, you will also gather allies, territories and regiments to make an army that you will need to fight enemies.

During the game, depending of your actions and the Spiritual Path you choose, the companions willing to join you or stay with you will be different, and that goes as well for the regiments you can recruit for your army . There are some antogonism rewards you will get by choosing a particular decision that favour one spiritual path. Choose to fight slavers, and a Paladin companion might join you, choose to help the slavers and you may get gold and a dark paladin in your party. Those are your choices, and it is up to you to shape the destiny of you character as well as Ethernalia course of events.

Mind this is the beta version of the videogame! Play it now and let us know what you want to change on the videogame!
