Blocksworld has been available on iOS devices since August, 2013. We're finally coming to PC (obviously), but we don't want Blocksworld on PC to feel like a cheap mobile port. So we're redesigning many elements of the game. Initially, the biggest change is going to be the UI, which requires a pretty extensive overhaul. Then we'll move on to updating build functionality to give more control to PC users than iOS devices allow. During this redesign phase, we want Blocksworld to be available to play in order to learn more from our players about how we can continue to improve.”

„We plan to take until the fouth quarter 2026 at the latest, essentially until we've finished implementing the redesigned UI elements for PC. We also plan to continue development and support of Blocksworld past the Early Access phase. Stay tuned for a public roadmap!”

„The goal of Early Access will be to produce a functional PC version of Blocksworld. There are elements of the iOS version that will not translate well to a PC format (especially UI and controls). Ultimately, the full version of Blocksworld PC is planned to feature a fully redesigned UI for ease of use with a keyboard and mouse, as well as controllers.

Additionally, there are planned updates to action blocks and scripting in general. If you've played the iOS version, you're probably aware of some finicky blocks, like moving platforms and antigravity blocks. While these usually function well enough, they're not always the most useful or intuitive. We're rethinking how these blocks (and more) should work to maximize their building potential!

We will also continue to support and update the full version with additional features, building blocks, actions, and expanded community interaction well past the Early Access phase.”

„We are running a closed playtest for Kickstarter Backers.
Worlds can be built, played, and shared with other players. However, many social features are missing. Some aspects of the UI and some building elements and actions may be frustrating to use for the time being.”

In the past year of Blocksworld's development on iOS, we've become much more transparent with our processes, and we intend to continue that as we develop the game for PC. We've been trying to include our community as much as possible in our planning and design phases of new features and blocks. We love it when we're able to incorporate and implement ideas for new blocks or features from our community. Our development team is constantly impressed with what the players able to do with the pieces we provide, and we're often amazed at the novel ways they can combine features to create new potential that we never thought possible. We want more of that going forward as we work to expand and improve Blocksworld!”
