“We are a small team creating a complex game with many interconnected and overlapping systems. It’s important for us to receive timely feedback from our community, as it helps with setting correct priorities and making necessary adjustments and fixes.”

Hvor lang tid vil dette spil være i tidlig adgang?

“For now we’d rather not set a strict date for the full release. Our guiding principle is “quality above all”: when an occasional gameplay element ends up not meeting our standards, we try to take some extra time to tweak or rework it, which doesn’t mesh well with a long predetermined deadline.

To get a rough idea of how close the game is to its 1.0 release, check out the section titled “What is the current state of the Early Access version?”.”

“Right now our main priority is implementing and polishing all major systems required to make the game a fully-functional sandbox experience.

Once those systems are in place, our plan is to fully focus on adding all the remaining content and implementing a fully-fledged story mode, the release of which will conclude the game’s Early Access.”

“Playing through the most recent build takes about 14-20 hours on average (this includes visiting every dungeon and killing every boss). Additionally, there’s a great deal of replayability provided by different ways to level your character and numerous procedural elements, which makes it worthwhile to play through the game more than once or twice.

Right now the game features:

  • Combat System: melee and ranged weaponry, dual wielding, magic
  • Leveling System and improvable Character stats
  • Health System: survival needs, injuries, psyche, pain, intoxication, fatigue
  • Economy and Exploration: contracts, trading, reputation, rumors, paper maps, crimes
  • Supplementary Mechanics: traps, throwing, hunting, drugs, statistics
  • 11/13 weapon types
  • 20/27 ability trees (216+ abilities in total)
  • 4/7 enemy factions
  • 3/5 dungeon types
  • ~40% of the planned global map
  • 4/6 biomes
  • 1/3 major cities
  • 2/6 major villages
  • 20+ unique and 10+ recurrent Points of Interest
  • 3 bosses
  • 200+ enemy types
  • 360+ pieces of equipment with varying stats and effects
  • 50+ combat consumables
  • 50+ Steam achievements

The next major update, “Rags to Riches”, will also feature:

  • The final major system to be added to the game: the Caravan (complete with a Fast Travel mechanic, an upgrade tree, and Followers)
  • Cooking and Consumables Crafting
  • Reworked Dungeon Generation and Contract System
  • Updated Economy
  • Dungeon Modifiers
  • Settlement Modifiers
  • New type of Points of Interest
  • And more: new weapons, enemies, items, and so on

Further updates will introduce:

After that, the work on gameplay mechanics will be complete, allowing us to start developing the main story in earnest.”

Stoneshard is a challenging turn-based RPG set in an open world. Experience the unforgiving life of a medieval mercenary: travel across the war-torn kingdom, fulfill contracts, fight, mend your wounds and develop your character without any restrictions.

There’s no hand-holding, and the game will punish you for your mistakes: you’ll have to carefully prepare for each expedition, plan your actions in advance, and weigh your resources against possible risks. Saving can only be done in certain spots, so each wrong move can potentially lead to a swift death and lost progress.

EXPLORE THE RAVAGED LANDS



  • Open World
    War always leaves its mark: villages lie in ruins, dungeons are infested with monsters, and old roads are abandoned. Travel through Aldor and learn more about its past.
  • Economy
    The wartime economy is ruthless, but it also presents many opportunities: fulfill contracts, hunt for treasure, trade in a variety of goods, and travel the land to earn your fortune.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH



  • Character Development
    Experiment with 200+ abilities and 400+ equipment pieces without any class or level restrictions. Create your very own playstyle!
  • Enemy Variety
    Take part in intense battles against numerous factions. Brigands, abominable cults, the undead - all of them require a unique approach.
  • Tactical Battles
    Only the thoughtful ones shall prevail - plan a few turns ahead, adapt to your surroundings, and fully utilize your character’s strengths.

SURVIVE AGAINST THE ODDS



  • Health System
    Master the simple but deep health system: cauterize bleeding wounds, relieve pain with alcohol and drugs, practice bloodletting and heal your maladies with various concoctions.
  • Psyche
    Different in-game situations have a distinct influence on your character’s mental condition. High morale may turn the tide in your favor when fighting even the most hopeless of battles, while low sanity brings panic attacks and paranoia.
  • Permadeath
    Do you like risk? Then try out the Ironman mode, where every decision is irreversible and your character dies once and for all.

    Additional settlements, enemy factions, and even more activities, equipment, and abilities.
  • Caravan
    Gather your own caravan to travel the world. Acquire upgrades for it and recruit followers - their knowledge and skills will likely benefit you along the way. Feeling weary? Return to your camp to hear new stories or just rest by the fire.
  • Main Story
