What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Adventure Craft is an ambitious, systems-driven survival crafting game with a large procedurally generated world and many interconnected gameplay systems. Early Access allows us to continue expanding, balancing and refining the game while incorporating feedback from the people actually playing it. Player feedback has already helped shape Adventure Craft, and we want that relationship with the community to remain an important part of its development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Adventure Craft to remain in Early Access while we complete, expand and polish its core survival, crafting, combat, exploration and progression systems.

We do not currently have a fixed date for leaving Early Access. Our goal is to move to full release when the major planned systems are complete, the existing content has been thoroughly refined and balanced, and the game has reached the level of quality we believe players should expect from the full release.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Adventure Craft is already playable in Early Access, but we plan for the full version to be a larger, more polished and more complete expression of the game’s survival-crafting sandbox.

During Early Access, we plan to continue expanding and refining the procedurally generated world, survival and crafting systems, combat, building, progression, enemies, wildlife, equipment, loot and other content. We also plan to improve balance, performance, usability and the overall presentation of the game as development continues.

Player feedback will continue to influence our priorities, so some aspects of the final game may change as Adventure Craft develops. Our aim for the full release is not to fundamentally replace the Early Access experience, but to make the existing exploration, gathering, crafting, building and PvE survival loop deeper, richer and more polished.
  • Co-operative Multiplayer
  • Steam workshop and MOD support
  • A much larger and diverse collection of biomes
  • Additional pets
  • NPC villages with dynamic quests
  • More extensive base building options
  • More enemies and creatures
  • Mounts
  • Expanded Party member AI options
  • Expanded mob and NPC, base building tech trees
  • Dynamic Quests
  • and much more

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Adventure Craft is already a substantial and highly playable open-world survival crafting game, with a large amount of content and its core exploration, survival, gathering, crafting, combat, building and progression systems in place.

Players can explore a vast procedurally generated world across multiple biomes, gather resources and loot, craft a huge variety of weapons, armour and equipment, build and customize a home, fight wildlife and hostile creatures, explore dangerous underground areas, create AI-controlled party members, train animal companions and develop their character over long periods of play.

Adventure Craft is designed to support very long-term play. The current build contains a considerable amount content and systems than those versions. With its procedural world and interconnected survival, crafting, exploration and progression systems, there are potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay for players who enjoy building, collecting, exploring and developing their character and world.

We have also spent considerable development time polishing the presentation of Adventure Craft, including its environments, characters, animations, visual effects, interface, sound and overall feel. The current version is intended to feel like a cohesive game rather than a collection of unfinished systems.

Adventure Craft remains in Early Access because we still want to expand, balance and refine the experience. We will continue improving existing systems, adding content, fixing issues and responding to player feedback as we work toward the full release.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Adventure Craft is currently free to play during Early Access. Our current plan is to transition the game to a paid product when it leaves Early Access. Players who add Adventure Craft to their Steam account while it is free will retain access to the game after that transition.

We believe this is a good way to reward the players who have supported Adventure Craft throughout Early Access while allowing us to support the continued development of the game after its full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback has played an important role in Adventure Craft’s development, and we plan to continue that throughout Early Access. We actively listen to feedback about gameplay, balance, usability, bugs and the overall player experience, and use it to help determine where the game needs improvement.

As the new version reaches more players, we plan to use Steam Discussions and other community feedback channels to hear what players enjoy, where they encounter problems, and which existing systems would benefit most from additional refinement.

Adventure Craft has grown considerably through years of development, but actually watching people play the game and hearing about their experiences continues to give us information that is difficult to get any other way. We want the community to remain an important part of shaping and polishing the game as we work toward full release.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Adventure Craft uses pre-generated AI-assisted audio content. Some background music was created using Suno, and some character voices and sound effects were created using ElevenLabs. This content was generated during development, selected and integrated by the developers, and ships as fixed game content. Adventure Craft contains no AI-generated visual artwork and does not generate AI content live during gameplay.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Adventure Craft contains stylized pixel-art violence and dark post-apocalyptic themes. Players can fight and kill hostile creatures, animals and human characters using melee weapons, firearms and other attacks. Combat can include red blood, bleeding effects, corpses and infected or monstrous enemies. The game also includes horror elements such as plague-infected creatures, demons and vampires. Violence is presented in a stylized pixel-art/comic aesthetic rather than realistically, and the game does not contain explicit sexual content or graphic gore.
