Why Early Access?

“This game is in early development and needs public feedback before launch. We would like to get feedback on what direction to take this app, if we should pursue a professional modeling software, or keep it a toy for kids to play with. We would also like feedback on what the general feel of the game is like, if anything is awkward or if there are any kinks that need smoothing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At the current time the core development of the base project is projected to run between three to five more months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Depending on community response, the full version could look more like a professional modeling software or a simple play-with-clay in VR. The full version could have options to upload your own models, and to download your own to 3d print yourself.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This is a fully functioning modeling software that has some bugs, there are some key features missing, we would like to see if the community reaction pushes us to polish or to release more features. We are currently developing a smooth feature that allows you to make your creation look cleaner.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This game should always be free. However, if we decide to take it the professional modeling software route, it would cost more in development and therefore might need to increase the cost as we release more features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Because we are early on in development, With community interaction, we can dynamically develop this product to suit the broadest audience. We have a Facebook page to receive feedback at facebook.com/vrplaydoh/ we also like to post progress on Reddit to receive feedback there.”
