What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our core gameplay is settled, along with the key features, art style and theme. We hope to use the Early Access phase of development to engage the community and allow that to drive new ideas, features, and direction the game takes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expected at least a year, but it maybe go a few months longer than if we get a lot of community engagement we receive”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to build on the core gameplay features we have developed in collaboration with our community. With the help of early access player feedback, we will add lots more modifications that will feed into each player run. We will significantly expand the number of levels, enemies and environmental events to tell the story of the Service Guy’s epic decent into the depth of Mars. We will also expand the meta gameplay, including adding unlockables that will feed back into the playthrough experience. Additionally, we also know that balancing will be a continual challenge and we expect the tuning of everything, from weapons to attachment modifications, and even enemies to shift over time. Finally, we expect our modding tools will expand according to our community’s wants and needs. We feel we’ve made a really robust start but we are keen to listen to what sort of tools will enable the creative community to flourish.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our core gameplay is settled, along with the key features, art style and theme. The player can begin their adventure down into the depths of Mars with our first character, Service Guy. We have the first three levels available, including a first level boss battle, which are in an alpha state. In each run, the player will be able to continuously upgrade weapons with randomly generated attachments, being able to skilfully craft a set of weapons capable of inflicting and exploiting the Inflamed, Poisoned and Trauma statuses on their enemies.
Additionally, we have a robust modding system that is ready to go for our community. We want the game to have a strong creative ecosystem and we’re provided the tools for players to start getting creative immediately.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will not change when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are looking to have early engagement with our community from the get-go. The nature of the attachment and modification system means that it will be invaluable for us to balance and expand the game with their support. We want to get a sense of what combinations of modifications and attachments are exciting to play and which ones just doesn’t work. We’re keen to understand how the pacing and difficult of each level feels to our players and iterate based on your feedback.
Finally, we’ve put a lot of effort into our modding tools and we’re excited to see what our community will make of them and with them! We’re keen to hear what’s easy to use, what other modding functionality would be desirable and help nurture the creative side of the community!”

About This Game

n Crimson Crisis, your weapons aren’t enough — to survive the swarm, you’ll need to twist, weave, and outmaneuver overwhelming hordes with pure skill. Every run throws you into escalating crises where enemies grow faster, deadlier, and more relentless than your firepower can handle. Success isn’t about how big your guns are — it’s about how well you control the chaos.

Battle through distinct warzones, each with its own enemies, hazards, and escalating crises. Adapt your tactics as swarms shift their patterns, forcing you to control not just your weapons, but the flow of the battlefield itself. Your arsenal inflicts powerful status effects — Poison, Inflame, and Traumatize — to weaken and disrupt enemies, buying precious moments to reposition and survive. With roguelike runs, randomized upgrades, and escalating intensity, no two crises ever unfold the same — but in every run, survival comes down to skillful movement.

Key Features
