“Sky Trader has been a true labor of love... an odyssey of sorts, with it's development spanning nearly a decade. It has gone through numerous iterations, finally to end up as it is today. Doubtlessly there will be further, less dramatic, changes. I would like to embrace the community's ideas and feedback as we get closer to the finish line.”

“Given the current state of development and the planned feature set, I expect Sky Trader to be in active development for one or two years before we can say it's ready for final release. I really want to get it into your hands long before that, however, which is why Early Access is so important!”

“The full version will be more expansive both in terms of content and features.

  • Full crew management
  • Improved trading and economy
  • Management of NPC-flown airships
  • Combat and evasion

The content will be largely focused around adding more areas to explore and playable airships to purchase. Also, substantially more airship parts and systems are planned.”

“The game is fully playable with access to the first map areas.

There are plenty of bugs for you to discover as well. The game is a physical simulation, and as such don't be surprised to see some crazy random behavior that I haven't quite sorted out.”

“Beyond the release discount and any other sales, we will be offering Sky Trader at the same price during and after Early Access. I would like to offer DLC at some point later on, but not during Early Access.”

Sky Trader is an immersive flight simulator where you take command of your very own airship and trading company. Set on a vast ocean-covered planet, you'll navigate stunning skies and uncover new opportunities as you pilot your way to wealth and prestige.

All the parts you install can be wired back and controlled from your own airship bridge. You can even install and remove new instruments and panels on the bridge itself.   • Realistic Physics: Airship flight characteristics are detailed and realistically simulated.

  • Detailed Systems Simulation: Manage every aspect of your airship’s operations, from electrical and fuel systems to hydraulics. Everything is simulated and is physically accurate.

  • Dynamic Weather and Atmospheric Conditions: Navigate through challenging weather scenarios, paying close attention to environmental factors such as wind and precipitation. If you allow ice to accumulate on your ship, your speed decreases and weight increases. Ice is bad...

  • Sweet Retro-Futurism: Sky Trader captures a dieselpunk asthetic, seamlessly combining a dreamy Studio Ghibli inspired world with retro-futuristic airships.
