What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Graffiti Bombing began as a personal graffiti project, which I've decided to release publicly. It's a technically demanding PCVR game that currently runs best on high-end VR headsets and computers with SSDs.

The goal is to create an immersive, open-ended graffiti experience with a realistic paint system that performs well across high-end VR setups. Achieving this vision takes time, effort, and dedication.

Early Access lets me share the game sooner, allowing players to experience it early and provide feedback. Your input will help shape development as I polish existing features and add new ones.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate 1–2 years, depending on how long it takes to add features like the V2 paint system, multiplayer, seamless cross-scene travel, challenge maps, and NPCs.

Regular updates are planned every 1–3 months, so Graffiti Bombing will continue to grow and evolve throughout Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The list below highlights some of the planned features and improvements:
  • GRAF-CAM: A video director system for placing virtual cameras to record and replay graffiti sessions.
  • Multiplayer Mode: Collaborate online with friends to bomb locations together.
  • Open World Expansion: More bombing zones and locations, accessible via subways, sewers, and hidden routes.
  • V2 Paint System: A more realistic, physics-based paint system with improved features and fixes.
  • Advanced Paint Zones: Save, load, share, and import graffiti; aged and weathered effects over time.
  • Challenge Modes: Objective-based gameplay with hazards, health, and AI-driven graffiti scoring.
  • NPCs and AI: Populate the world with NPCs, adding dialogue and interactivity.
• Social Media Integration: Expanded sharing options to showcase and promote your creations.

We’ve got even more ideas in the pipeline—stay tuned for updates!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access includes:
  • Game Areas: Access to the Player Home, Open World starting area, and Creative Sessions maps for focused painting experiences.
  • DLC Content: The `All City Edition` DLC adds extra paint types, tools, and features, with more exclusive content and areas coming in 2025.
  • Core Mechanics: Single-player gameplay, locomotion, and object interactions are stable and functioning well.
  • V1 Paint System: Graffiti tools like spray cans, paint rollers, and marker pens are fully supported and improved.
  • Player Home: The home base is polished and functional, with room for future updates.
  • Open World Zones: Level loading and zone mechanics work, though lower-end systems may experience performance issues or bugs.
  • Creative Sessions: Single-map environments are ideal for players on lower-end systems.
  • Multiplayer: Not yet available—planned for development in 2025.

As expected, you may encounter bugs or performance issues, especially on lower-spec systems. We’ll be actively collecting feedback to fix problems and improve the experience throughout Early Access.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Graffiti Bombing is free-to-play, allowing anyone with the required VR equipment and a capable PC to try the base experience at no cost.

The free version includes a limited selection of features and locations. For example:
  • Paint Types: Only 1 of 4 paint types is available.
  • Locations: Access is limited to the Player Home and Open World start areas.
  • Creative Sessions: Content is limited to free-to-play maps.

For the full experience, players can purchase the `All City Edition` DLC, which unlocks additional tools, features, and locations. The DLC price will remain the same during and after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll be actively gathering feedback through Steam community features, our Discord server, and eventually via the Graffiti Bombing website, which will include support and feedback tools.

We also plan to make our development backlog publicly accessible, allowing the community to report bugs and share feedback directly with the development team!”
