1.04 Update: Bugfixes and Soundtrack

This update finally adds the long-promised soundtrack. You can find it by going to the "Music" category in your Steam Library and searching for Tesla: The Weather Man. If you'd like to listen to it outside of Steam, just click the "Show in System" link to get to the MP3 files.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur during respawn or level loading
  • Fixed a crash on startup when tutorials are disabled
  • Other minor fixes
Why did this take so long?

At the moment, Thoughtquake Studios LLC is a one-man company. It has never made enough money to provide a livable income, so it's been on the backburner while I focused on my day job. That's changing now, as I'm once again risking my savings to focus on game development full-time. Most of my time will be going toward a new game, but there will be more updates to Tesla: The Weather Man in the near future.

“It's not only surprisingly addictive, and by that I mean it's very easy to lose an entire day and not realise it, but it's also ridiculously well made for a two man team.”

About This Game

The triumph of alternating current has sent Edison into a violent rage. It's up to you, Nikola Tesla, to stop him and his army of DC-powered robots. Dodge bullets and solve physics-based puzzles in an absurd historical parody platformer.

Unlock experimental technologies to manipulate the environment:

  • Pull ions from the earth and sky to make lightning strike on your command
  • Levitate boxes and other objects to solve puzzles
  • Summon a downpour to flood valleys and short-circuit robots
  • Focus the sun's rays to evaporate lakes in seconds
  • Freeze water to make ice you can walk across or levitate

  • 29 hand-painted levels
  • 6 kinds of devious robots and a final showdown against Edison himself
  • Researchable perks and upgrades including slow motion, deadly sun rays, and the ability to levitate enemy robots
  • Multiple solutions to most puzzles
