What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Besides my artist, and help from the game maker community, most everything else I've done alone. This includes advertisement, programming, most art, and I even wrote the theme song for the game. I come to early access to involve you and ask for help. I want voice artists for the characters, more backgrounds, and art for you to enjoy. This is the only game of it's kind.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The scope of the project has increased recently and early 2018 is the best estimate.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have more of everything that makes the game great already. More artwork, more epic music, more ships, more choices, and a completion to the epic story that is Omni Link.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can play the first three chapters of the game. I think that's around 5+ hours depending on reading speed and if you kill every ship in the galaxy. Three major choices are included and you can see the beginnings of the consequences of your actions. Most consequences don't come till chapter 4.

* Important to note, that while I'm developing the game, I may change the way the Save System works. That means on full release your save games will not work.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Depends on ambition of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There is a chance for you to design a ship to be featured in the game. There is a sticky topic in the forum for you to post ideas. I have other ideas, but will reveal later when they are more solidified.”

Summer Update and Release Date Closing in!

It's summer time!

In a previous progress update, I mentioned the release date is getting close when I start to implement your ideas for ship designs. https://steamcommunity.com/app/529100/discussions/0/224446614459439411/

I'm doing that now! So post your ideas if you want a chance of getting in. You will be in the credits of my game if I pick your ship idea.

I also want to share that the game is playable from beginning to end in my internal build. The stage I am at is play testing, polishing, side missions, and editing. The wait is almost over.

Release Date:

I originally wanted to release my game this month, but Steam likes to have sales in the summer. Instead, I decided that it would be best to release my game and launch discount 30 days after the next Steam sale which is usually mandatory for spacing out sales on Steam. Because you've been so patient waiting for release, the next Steam sale is going to have a better discount than the traditional game launch discount and a little higher than I would normally put.

EDIT: I want to release the game next month if possible

The extra time will also be used to finish the things I haven't been thinking of. Game Achievements & Steam Trading Cards so it works out better this way.

An Epic Adventure that You are Apart of:

I think you will be very pleased with how the story plays out. It's completely epic, and very unexpected. You will notice most of the Fantastic Artwork was saved for near the end.

I tried to make each character enduring so choices will be hard... including that of romance. I originally wanted only one save file so choices would be permanent. These choices make it so you can really feel like you are the protagonist of the story.

I also tried to make rewarding choices. The gameplay may be simple, but it allows for me to easily convey your choices in a way that other Visual Novels can't. But Omni Link is a visual novel first and a shooter game second. There is a ton of dialogue near the end.

On easy difficulty, you may skip gameplay elements quickly with brute strength just to enjoy the story. The hardest difficulty is meant to be unforgiving, just like the Virus is in the story. When you lose a ship, it is gone forever. You may reach the end of the game with no ships and little chance of winning. As it should be.

I can't wait to see you next month!

Free Manga & Game Update Announcment

Omni Link Manga released:

My first words are a shout out to my friends and family that have made the story of Omni Link possible. They not only helped with funding, but emotional cheers of support as well. It is your support on Steam and other places that has made these projects possible.

Omni Link Manga

*read and share the link with all your friends. For those that play the game, you'll notice the story's beginning is similar, yet unique in it's own way. Some events are entirely new. Issue #1 ends with Dawn's first test of strength on Remnos station. I'm sure many of you wanted to see that scene play out, and now you can :)

Video Game release date:

WIth the first comic/manga release out of the way, I can focus my attention 100% on the game. I don't yet know when I can release the game. That's not to say I don't know when I can finish the core game. There are reasons I can't be be more specific. You will know the time is close for release when...(read below). Sorry, I'm so vague.

Want to get more involved:

1) Before the games release I plan to introduce your ship ideas and side-quest ideas into the game. I think it would be fun for you to have a chance to be a part of the game in that way. *I'm hoping at least one of you will be able to design a character for the game too.

I will include these new pieces of content (your ships & side-quests) into the game, after the game is completely finished. So when I start asking for this information, you know the time is close for release.

2) If you want to support the game the most, get it during early access. All early access purchases increase the production value of the game including: new art, characters, music, and a manga for you to enjoy.

3) Share the manga with eveyone. Omni Link Manga

About This Game

Your name is Keb. A man of little consequence. An orphan without a past or a future. It's your first day on the job at Zaos Corporation when you encounter an alien vessel. Through a misunderstanding, your vessel explodes & binds you with an entity known as Ectype D-7, an attractive and powerful being of technology. You quickly learn that there is more to this ship and A.I. than meets the eye. The artificial intelligence is so advanced she is able to absorb energy from other ships and duplicate them. As well as use a mysterious ability called Omni Link.

Match your abilities against an faceless terror. An enemy called "The Virus" awakens near the edge of the galaxy. Suns are disappearing and planets are dying. People discover that this threat is real. However, no one knows exactly what the Virus is or wants. Will you be fooled too?

On your journey you'll discover what it means to love and lose everything. The people you meet--a child prodigy, an ace pilot, a computer genius--will all come to depend on you to save them. But you're not a hero...! Give yourself an alias to add a personal touch to the adventure.

Features in Early Access:

Real-time tactical combat - Defeat ships and absorb them into your fleet. Summon each ship to fight with you in battle. Discover hidden ships with powerful abilities and skills. Influenced by games such as Escape Velocity Nova and Star Control 3.

Choices that affect gameplay and story - Dialogue and gameplay choices make every decision you make carry weight. Some will change dialogue in minor ways, but also open paths for completely new dialogue and space events. Even your gameplay actions have consequences. Some are not fully apparent till later and it's too late to change course. *Huge two path end game split planned.

Hand Drawn Art & Epic Music - Beautiful art and music accompany your journey. Feel the emotion through epic battle moments and emotions that comes from characters as you take part in the story.
