Miksi Early Access?

We think DEADLOCK as it stands is a complete and fun arcade experience, but want to potentially expand it down the road depending on how the medium evolves.
Skunkape Interactive is just comprised of a few self funded part time devs.
Early access is a way for us to get direct feedback and fund additional development.

Our main goal is to provide gamers with an enjoyable and challenging VR experience now, rather than later.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We are not sure. There are many features we want to add, and whether or not we develop them will depend on how much interest is shown by the Steam community.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

With the full version of DEADLOCK we hope to implement things like leaderboards, additional music, challenge modes, maps and random wave generation!
However the roadmap is a fluid document that will be revised according to how much interest the community expresses in what.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current version of DEADLOCK includes 4 fire modes (low caliber bullet, high caliber bullet, plasma, and heavy beam) and a defensive energy shield. 3 enemies (Tactical Troopers, Attack Dogs, and Drones) with different sub-types (e.g. Shotgun Trooper) all of which are designed from the ground up for VR gameplay.
This version of the game includes 1 map with 20 unique waves.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

This depends on the extent to which the game increases in content and value.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

We want feedback from the community regarding all aspects of the game and how we can make it better, more fun, challenging and high quality. We want bug reports, we also want suggestions for features, maps, modes... anything you can think of!
This is a VR game for the VR community and early access gives us the opportunity to find what that community really wants.
If shown enough interest we will try our best to implement!

Take a deep breath. No hacker has ever penetrated your defenses, but this foe is on a level you've never seen before. Still your employers will not tolerate failure, so you must protect your network from this invasion at all costs.

DEADLOCK is a virtual reality arcade shooter that pits you against waves of enemies who will stop at nothing to destroy you. Face down tactical troopers, flying drones and vicious attack dogs. It's kill or be killed, and to get the high score you'll need light feet, fast reflexes and a steady aim.

Features

Multiple Fire Modes

Your pistols are capable of several attacks. Fire lasers or bullets. Keep cool and pace your shots, frantically discharge until you overheat, or charge up for massive damage!

3 Different Enemies

Fight against troopers, attack dogs and flying drones.

Shield

Use your shield to protect yourself and reflect incoming fire! Keep it between yourself and the hounds if you wish to retain ownership of your jugular.

Practice Mode

One type of enemy get you every time? Practice against waves of whatever you want.

Remember to Dodge!

Enemy lasers travel slow, but not that slow! To get the high score you must dodge and weave. Watch out for your ceiling fans and furniture, they are most dangerous enemy of all!
