“Early access gives us the opportunity to include the community in developing Hospitalize. Everyone has a relationship with hospitals, either through own experiences or through friends or familiy. We want to capture community ideas to develop the best gaming experience possible. Feedback from the players are important to us in order to learn what you like, and to know what we can do better.”

“We are currently estimating that the game will be in early access for about 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal is a casual, but complex hospital simulator. It should be easy to play and uncomplicated at start, but with depth and challenge in the long run.
A fully equipped hospital will include emergency rooms, intensive care unit, mental ward and many other departments found in real hospitals.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game features patients, illnesses and hospital management. You start the with the tools to create a basic doctor’s office and turn it into a medium size hospital. Each new game starts with a tutorial that walks you through the mechanics of the game, followed by randomly generated missions to guide you throughout the game. All patients have interactable journals with symptoms, conditions and scheduled activities.
We are currently polishing and balancing the initial content and features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback is important to know we are developing in the right direction. Player ideas and thoughts will be included whenever we are deciding on new content and drawing the roadmap for future development.

The State of Hospitalize!

Greetings Everyone!


We would like to go over a little bit about what state both us and Hospitalize is in right now, so that you guys know exactly what page we are on at this point in time!

To start off, these last months our work has been quite impacted by the fact that we have been working on multiple fronts at the same time. It can lead to slower progress all in all, but is needed before any big changes can take place. We're starting to see it all "come together" and can focus on what we really want again.

Our programmer Cedric has updated the in-game bug report tool which is much more intuitive than before and will make it easier for us to localize and deal with bugs.

It's been a lot of fun to finally have been able to release modding (Yay!). This is something we have been wanting since the early days of Hospitalize, but did not really have the opportunity to before. More work still remains for some modding capabilities and we will keep a close eye on modding activity to be able to follow up loose ends.

Some have noticed that we have been working on improvements for Scopes in Departments. We did a poll in our Discord, asking what people thought was maybe not the best when it comes to Departments and it made it clear that some things can definitely be better. Working on this is priority right now.

HOSPITALIZE v0.14.0.1 - MODDING! (Hotfixed to v0.14.0.3)

Modding is now available to all! WARNING: Please backup your savegames if you are going to play around with modding!

We can't wait to see what you guys can come up with! Here's a link to a Wiki that we have started, together with a Getting Started tutorial for modding! There are also mod examples here created by us for you to take reference from!

About This Game

Hospitalize is all about finding the most effective way to construct and manage a hospital. Build your hospital smart and avoid excess time and resources consumed by traveling and examining your hospitalized patients unnecessary.

Staff it and watch your “minions” attempt to navigate through your hospital maze and solve all your patients’ troubles. As the administrator, you really do not need to care much about what your employees keep themselves occupied with on a daily schedule. You have much more important things to do, like taking big decisions and building the hospital.

Balance your next hospital expansion between what the hospital needs and what that is most profitable. Choose the right staff and manage the hospital policies. Do the patients need to be fully healed before the doctors discharge them, or will you discharge them early and get paid?
Send patients through your different hospital examinations and see if you or any of your doctors are able to identify the cause of their symptoms and give them the right treatment. Your doctors and nurses will often try to do their best, but as the hospital administrator, you can always overrule their decisions and modify all your patients’ journals.
