Barrels are never where they should be!

2D sokoban puzzle game with pixel art and an 8-bit soundtrack. You play as a dwarf tidying up his cellars. The goal is simple: get every barrel onto its marked spot, and the level is solved.

Gameplay

You push barrels across a grid, one tile at a time. Barrels can only be pushed, never pulled. Back one into a corner or against a wall and it's stuck, so every move is worth thinking through.

Your main obstacle is the gates blocking the way. To break a gate, the dwarf drinks a mug of beer. But it's strictly one mug at a time: drink, break one gate, drink again, break the next. And there's usually less beer on a level than there are gates, so part of the puzzle is deciding which gates to break, and in what order.

There are no clocks and no move counters, so there's never any rush. And if you slip up, any action can be undone, which means you'll never have to restart a whole level over a single misplaced barrel.

What's in the demo

• 7 levels, including tutorial levels with hints for newcomers

• Difficulty ranging from gentle warm-ups to levels that'll make you stop and think

• Around 1 to 2 hours of playtime, depending on the player

• Undo any action at any time

• Keyboard or gamepad controls

• Settings for audio, screen resolution, and windowed mode

Demo and full version

This is a demo. The full game is currently in development and will include more levels, more puzzles, and new mechanics beyond beer and gates. The demo shows the core gameplay as it stands today.

Hand-drawn pixel art in the spirit of old consoles, with a handful of 8-bit tracks for the right retro mood.
