About This Game

Candor Poker is a game where you are free to decide each month how to use your money and income, including how much—if any—you are willing to risk on poker, horse race betting, or acquiring investments. Income comes from simplified financial resources, but is affected by random events that can increase or reduce your earnings.

While risking your savings can be profitable with the right decisions and a bit of luck, pushing too hard can leave you short on cash and relying on loans. To survive, you must continue covering your monthly expenses month after month.

Play poker from the comfort of your home using authentic Texas Hold'em poker rules, without risking any real-life money. Face AI opponents that bluff, play conservatively, and make mistakes under pressure like real poker players.

Horse Race Betting

Bet on horse races featuring more than 80 horses with hidden randomized attributes in each playthrough. Watch races, learn which horses consistently perform better, and improve your chances of winning through observation and experience.

The result of a race can still be affected by other factors, but recognizing horses with stronger performance can give you a better chance of success.

Steam Leaderboards (Planned Feature)

Track your performance and compare your achievements with other players on Steam leaderboards, from how long you survived each run to tournament wins and cash game success.

My design philosophy for Candor Poker and any future games from my studio is to create games that do not use hidden modifiers or artificial balancing. Every outcome is determined by chance and your decisions alone.

It requires significantly more work to balance all of the game’s systems and player actions, but it is a cost I’m willing to accept in order to create a fair game.
