What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are a small team with an ambitious game on our hands. We knew ever since we started that we cannot reach the vision that we set out Initia to be on our own. We need the help and insight of the community to shape Initia to be a great and innovative arena shooter. Also due to Initia's design, we are boundless in how we can expand and iterate on it. We can add new and fun elements, or new maps with different objectives, but we fist must understand how you want to play Initia.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is planned to stay in Early Access for 6 to 8 month. This should give us enough time to add the features we want to add and also incorporate all your feedback into Initia.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Initia is boundless in design. There are many ways we can enhance and expand on the game. Below are some of our planned features that we will be working on during the Early Access.
  • New elements like Lava, Nature, Crystals, Venom, Void
  • New Arcane Abilities like Nether prison, Sentries, Void Portals
  • Ability to customise your character
  • A new map more focused on kill confirmation and close combat
  • New game modes and maps
  • A coop mode that you can enjoy with your friends

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is in a playable alpha state. It has 6 Elements, 5 Arcane abilities, 5 Alchemy potions and 2 completed maps. The game is not finished yet, but it is already fun to play and in a state we can share with you and have some magic blasting fun.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No the game will stay the same after Early Access. However we plan on rewarding our loyal players who supported us during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will have a public Trello roadmap of the game and the development progress. We are also going to engage with you over forums, whether its here on steam or on our website, or even reddit. We will host twitch streaming sessions and we will be available over chat for any questions or requests. We really appreciate your support and will do anything to show how much.”

About This Game

Initia: Elemental Arena is a new take on online arena shooters. It blends frantic team-based game play of first person Arena shooters like Unreal Tournament & the FPS Magic mechanics of Skyrim. It combines it all with strategic objectives and tactical team play.

The Initia Formula

  • Dedicated servers and competitive MatchMaking
  • The fast paced action of arena shooters
  • The progressive game play inspired from MOBA objectives
  • Maps that force players to work together in a team (as well as playing for frags).
  • Competitive & fun combat – a team healer with a flame thrower? Why not!?

A layer of Economy, fore-thought:

Every objective captured & every kill is rewarded with match crystals.
You use crystals to buy higher elements & combine them with arcane abilities.
But every time you die items are lost – it will always be risk vs. reward.

The game’s different Elements allows players to link up attacks, assist team mates, and toy with enemies. Combine these with:
  • A vast inventory of items.
  • At least 15 special Arcane Abilities.
  • Strategic positions to capture.
  • The ability to summon god-like Avatars.
  • An ever changing range of maps & game play types.
and you have an incredibly fluid battlefield where no two matches are the same.

Arcane Abilities!

Arcane abilities play a very interesting role in Initia. You can buy Arcane abilities next to any magic element you choose on spawn. They are designed to offer you utility that will help you or your team in dynamic fights.

The versatility of combining utility with any offensive attack results in refreshing combinations that makes the game-play even more exciting. You can end up being a team healer that can also shoot fireballs.
