WARD: Descent is a 2D dungeon-crawler roguelike where you pilot an armored combat suit. Explore an overrun research laboratory, manage your suit's software upgrades, and complete sequences to destroy anomalies. Descend to the bottom, pilot, and complete your mission!

Use your suit's structural scanner to explore the laboratory. Many experiments were left behind, many of which may prove useful to your mission. Other research equipment may also be of use to you, so keep your eyes peeled for anything useful.

As you descend, you will encounter experimental suit upgrade chips. These software-hardware enhancements will alter the abilities of your suit, increasing your odds of survival. The order in which these apply have a substantial impact on your combat effectiveness, so manage your suit systems wisely.

Limitations in your suit require you to manually complete certain actions during combat. Satisfactory completion of a sequence will greatly enhance your suit's offensive or defensive capabilities. The understanding and mastery of these sequences are paramount to your survival within the lab, pilot.

Strange anomalies have overrun the laboratory. Many bear a resemblance to familiar creatures, but do not be fooled, pilot. These entities are capable of interfering with suit systems, and they want only destruction. Strike first, and strike hard.
