FuturePuck Manager™ is a sci-fi sports management sim set in a humanity-settled star system in the year 3037, putting players in the hotseat to guide their team to glory.

Buy and sell players, choose your winning tactics, and even hire a bounty hunter to retrieve and rescue your players from asteroid-dwelling pirates.

Featuring an array of sci-fi species to assemble your squad from, teams of five go head to head in exciting text-based matches as they look to climb the divisions to the summit of the Alpha League or to claim victory in the Wondrous Cup.

Whatever they do, they'd be wise to avoid finishing bottom of the Delta League - for the vacuum of space awaits those managers that do.
The game was inspired by Speedball 2, tabletop Blood Bowl, and Football Manager, with the fictional sport itself loosely combining features of ice hockey, curling, five-a-side football and lacrosse, and a hand-drawn visual style with slight nods to Space Raiders crisps or years gone by and other sci-fi works.

FuturePuck Manager contents textual descriptions of death including squad members being killed by wild beasts, devoured by their species leader, or hunted down and eaten. These descriptions are brief and contain no graphic detail.
The game also contains some references to crime such as mugging, street beatings, 'spacenapping' by pirates, and also being malevolently 'tox-brained'.
It is also implied that squad members fight as part of the general match flow due to the presence of both combat and brawn attributes.
Furthermore, the game takes place amid the backdrop of a fragile peace in a war-ravaged star system, although the references are brief and non-graphic.
There's also a sci-fi gimmick where a plastic-derived species can temporarily melt when stressed out or with low morale, but they always recover. Again it's just textual with the relevant status of 'melt-woe' in the squad table.
