What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a dedicated team of developers, our primary focus has been on perfecting the core gameplay mechanics. To bring this vision to life sooner, we are currently using placeholder art and sound assets. While the game is fully playable and mechanically deep, we recognize that the sensory experience isn't at its final 'elite' level yet.
We are being transparent about our process: we are a tech-first studio with a limited budget. By launching in Early Access, every copy sold will go directly toward hiring professional artists and sound designers to replace these temporary assets. Your support at this stage doesn't just grant you the game—it provides the fuel we need to transform this solid foundation into a polished, high-end experience. Join us in shaping the final evolution of the game!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our goal is to keep the Early Access phase as concise as possible, ideally between six months and a year. Since our main objective during this period is to replace placeholder assets with professional-grade art and sound, the exact timeline will depend on the pace of production and our funding milestones. We are committed to a swift transition to the full release without compromising the quality of the final polish.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The primary evolution of the full version will be a complete sensory overhaul. We plan to replace all placeholder assets with high-quality, professional art and immersive sound design to match the depth of our gameplay.
In terms of content, we aim to expand the experience by:
Deepening the End-Game: Implementing advanced mechanics to challenge veteran players.
Expanding Variety: Introducing a wider range of themes and environments.
Future Ambitions: While currently in the conceptual stage, we are exploring the possibility of co-op gameplay. If the community support allows the project to grow beyond our initial scope, we intend to push the development even further, turning our 'whiteboard' dreams into reality.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently mechanically complete and fully playable. While we are a small team of developers without a dedicated art budget, the core experience is stable and feature-rich. Currently, you can enjoy:
Single Player & Versus Modes: Fully functional gameplay for both solo and competitive play, including Remote Play Together.
Practice Mode: A complete environment to master the game’s mechanics.
Steam Integration: High-scores and milestones are already tracked via Leaderboards and Achievements.
Please note: The current visuals and audio are placeholders. We have focused 100% of our existing resources on programming and stability. The transition to final, professional assets will begin as soon as our Early Access funding goals are met.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to make the game as accessible as possible from the very beginning. To reward our early supporters, the game will be launched with a special Early Access discount.
While we do not plan to increase the base price once we reach the full release, buying now ensures you get the best possible deal. Furthermore, all future updates, content expansions, and the final high-quality art/sound overhauls will be included for free for everyone who supports us during this stage. Your early investment stays with you forever.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a gameplay-first studio, we believe the community is our most valuable asset. Since our mechanics are designed for depth and precision, we plan to work closely with 'elite' players to fine-tune balance and competitive feel. Your feedback will directly influence how the game evolves.
Furthermore, we want to open our doors to the creative community. We specifically encourage self-taught artists and designers to share their ideas regarding the game's visual themes and background art. We are eager to hear your visions for the environments and atmospheres that should accompany our mechanics. Whether through our Discord or Steam Forums, your input will help us transform our 'developer art' into a world that resonates with the people who play it.”

About This Game

Multeetris is a block-stacking game with two main twists, where each run feels different.

The first twist is that the difficulty increase doesn’t come from the speed at which the pieces drop, but rather from multiple instances of the game running alongside each other. This forces the player to pay constant attention to both the main panel and the extra instances. Multitasking and strategic planning are advised. Each new instance comes with a challenge that, if beaten, grants you a reward—leading to twist number two.

The second twist is the way single-player mode includes roguelike mechanics. You start in the old era of block-stacking, with wildly random pieces and almost no tools for planning or placing them. As you complete the secondary panel challenges, the game provides progressive upgrades that let you advance into the modern era of block-stacking games. More previews of upcoming pieces, improved rotation systems, lock delay for more lenient play, and so on—until you reach frenetic, high-speed gameplay.

Multeetris is the answer to a weird question: How many block-stacking games can my block-stacking game have?

If you want to experience the extreme and challenge your mind with multi-focus mayhem, welcome to Multeetris.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

We currently have a very tight budget, as we are focusing on creating the core mechanics of the game. Because of this, the artwork for the Steam store page and library is currently placeholder art made with AI. This will be replaced as soon as possible; it is without a doubt our first priority
