Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I have been working on Genterra for quite a while, and the core mechanics of managing spatial layouts, building your automated industrial network, and balancing the digital bandwidth economy, are in place. However, factory automation games thrive on complex systems, and the best way to test those systems is with real players. It's time to get the game into your hands to see how the community feels about it. I want to see how you break the game, what you'd like to see changed, and what features would like to see to make this game one you'd enjoy playing over and over again.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I have much of the core mechanics in place, so adding the next steps is not a huge undertaking. I estimate this game being in Early Access for the next 6 months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version features the foundational simulation on the first planet, the bandwidth economy, and the initial orbital space station quotas.

For the full 1.0 release, the true scale of the megacorp project will be unlocked with these planned additions:

- More planets with differing biomes
- Cross-planetary logistics
- Audio and sound effects
- New buildings and tools
- The completed story
- Sandbox mode
- Steam achievements
- Steam Deck support
- Multiple languages”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable with a solid core loop. You can architect your grid on the starting planet, flexibly orient your buildings for maximum spatial efficiency, manage the dual economy of physical resources and digital bandwidth, and fulfill your orbital space station quotas. While the foundation is highly stable, you may encounter occasional bugs, unpolished UI elements, or late-game balance issues, which is exactly what Early Access is here to solve together.

The settings available to players at the moment is also very limited, but will be expanded upon as I get feedback from the players as to what they want.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No it will not.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be the driving force behind Genterra’s continued development. I will be highly active and directly communicating with players through our official Discord server and the Steam Community Hub. I plan to read every piece of feedback, listen closely to quality-of-life requests, and discuss balance tweaks with the community. My goal is to work alongside you to implement changes and new content that genuinely benefit the game.

Even though this game came from my love of factory games, at the end of the day I am building this for others who enjoy factory games as well.”

About This Game

In this casual factory sim, humanity needs a new home and the Genterra Corporation has tasked you with finding it. As the Lead Architect, you are running the ultimate cross-planetary logistics simulation to prepare for colonization. Your objective: design a sprawling, fully automated industrial network across multiple simulated worlds to prove viability and secure our future.

Architect the Grid

Start your simulation on a single test planet. While raw resources are infinite, efficiency is your true master. Your expansion is strictly limited by the physical space on the grid and the digital Bandwidth required to run your machines. You must carefully design an interconnected network of extractors, smelters, and compilers, flipping and orienting your buildings to perfectly optimize every square inch of your spatial footprint.

The Orbital Space Station

Your factory doesn't just exist on the ground. As you balance your production lines, you must route vital components and raw power up to the orbiting Genterra Space Station. Fulfilling these massive orbital quotas is the only way to advance the simulation and unlock new planetary environments.

Cross-Planetary Logistics

Once the station is operational, the true scale of the project begins. Unlock new planets featuring entirely different biomes and specialized technological buildings. You are no longer just managing local belts; you are establishing massive, cross-planetary production chains, shipping materials between worlds to fuel an ever-expanding interstellar megaproject.

Key Features:

  • Interstellar Factory Automation: Grow from a single mining outpost into a multi-planet industrial simulation.

  • Space & Bandwidth Puzzles: Master the grid. With unlimited resources, your true challenge is optimizing tight spatial layouts and managing your network's Bandwidth capacity.

  • Flexible Architecture: Flip and configure structures to build perfectly clean, organized logistical hubs without artificial directional limits.

  • Cross-Planetary Supply Chains: Export and import unique resources between different worlds to fuel advanced technologies.

  • Scale Without Friction: Upgrade your belts and machines directly in place to increase throughput without tearing down your hard work.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) or newer
    • Processor: Intel Core i3 or AMD equivalent (Dual-core, 2.5 GHz or higher)
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 or any integrated GPU with WebGL 2.0 support
    • Storage: 500 MB available space
    Recommended:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
