Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle is a Neo-Classic Digital Gamebook RPG that reimagines the charm of legendary gamebooks like Grailquest and Sorcery! for the digital age.

You become the hero of this tale as you venture forth to the "Dark Castle," inhabited by a mysterious witch.

Scribble your stats with a pencil, let the roll of the dice decide your destiny, and flip the pages with your own hands.

Will You Be a Warrior or a Mage?

You will play as Havelock, the valiant warrior, or Paneri, the wise mage. Should you trust in your brawn, choose the warrior; if your faith lies in cunning, the mage shall be your choice.

Each hero rises to challenge Ingeborg, the witch of the Dark Castle, and must journey to Erishing, the plague-stricken capital.

The chronicle unfolds through your chosen hero's eyes. You will find that the same events take on a different meaning depending on your perspective. As your quest progresses, you may even encounter your counterpart in the most unexpected of ways.

Your Choices Matter:

Danger lurks around every corner. A sudden encounter with a horde of the undead, or a treasure chest laced with lethal traps—peril is ever-present. A single careless step may lead to an unexpected demise.

Sometimes, your good deeds may have a way of returning to you. A supposed foe may become an ally, and those you aid may return the favor when all hope seems lost.

Kindness is never wasted. If you believe a deed is right, act without hesitation.

Yet, mark this! The choice is entirely yours.

Should you find a person beset by brigands, you may intervene—or pass them by. Act upon ironclad conviction, or follow the whims of the moment. There is but one law: Fate rests upon your choices and the roll of the dice.

Sudden death is a constant companion on your journey.
In the heat of battle against a fearsome foe, you may find your strength failing. The dice will not always favor you. In such moments, you shall often find yourself turning to "Page 14"—the page of your death.
