“本作中，玩家将主要扮演原作中的主人公艾连，在一些场景你还将扮演其他主要角色，如誓死守护艾连的三笠和好友阿尔敏等等。游戏的故事则完全复刻动画第一季的内容。故事的开头，如动画里那般，玛利亚之墙的南端被突如其来的超大型巨人突破，主人公所在的西甘希娜区继而沦陷。这次事件不但让主角家破人亡，也是时隔百年的安定生活后，人类再次陷入受巨人们支配的恐惧当中。我们的游戏体验就从这里开始。”
