Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«Mystica is an MMO or ORPG that is very community and player centric. So we feel that we should be able to make changes that the community wants to see in the game, changes that will improve the player experience and makes the game a more comfortable and player driven experience. What better way to do just that then with an open beta on Steam where players can find the game, give it a shot, then start suggesting new features and updates! The more people giving their input the better!»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«Mystica will stay in Early Access until both the world is flushed out enough to stand on its own and when the player experience is up to par.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«Mystica's core game-play is not planned to change that much. We plan to massively expand the world, number of NPCs, quests, items, etc. While we are growing the game quickly, it's still relatively small compared to other MMOs. We will also be adjusting the game according to the player feedback, it's hard for us to predict exactly what that will entail but most likely those changes will be mostly mechanical changes and not visible changes. As far as the various Steam systems that can be implemented such as Achievements and controller support are not in the game yet however as we assess what can feasibly support we plan to support as many of these systems as we can.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«Mystica is currently in Beta, the client and server are currently very stable with minimal crashing and game breaking bugs. Most of the changes that need to be made are on the world and adjusting the mechanics so the players enjoy the game as much as possible.»

«We are launching the game at a low price point with the intention to slowly raise the price as the game get closer to a main release.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«Not only will we be monitoring all of our feedback from our website, forum, and Steam discussion boards but we will put many more hours into the game just talking with players and getting their input and trying to correct the game for many of the issues that the players find. The more players that we get mentioning an issue or a similar issue the faster we will endeavor to fix that issue.»

Om spillet

Mystica is a 2D MMORPG with minimal focus on a primary story. We wanted to provide an awesome MMO expirience but we wanted players to be able to explore the world at their own pace and to discover the games secrets and lore on their own. As the game is completed there will be large overarching quests built but they will be purely optional with nothing forced on the players. We want to encourage player interaction and socialization in order to build a solid community and world for both new and old players alike.

The game is far from finished but it is very much still a work in progress with near constant additions. We started work on Mystica with the hope of giving fans of 2D mmorpgs a solid game to enjoy, where they can hang out, go on adventures, and maybe make some new friends. Some of our best memories as a child are from all the hours we put into games like Maplestory and Endless Online. We feel that a simpler game allows for a better community of players. As we build up the game we hope to build story through lore and narrative. Less "get quests" and more of an open ended story that you can choose to take part in.
