Why Early Access?

“Unbounded is launching in Early Access because I believe in releasing and improving rather than waiting indefinitely for a final version. With that being said, the foundation of the game at its most minimal version is complete. I plan to continue refining systems, improving balance, and expanding content over time.

This is my first game, and I'm excited to continue improving it!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Unbounded to remain in Early Access for approximately one year. The goal is to reach full release within 12 months of launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add more bosses, more weapons, and more unique upgrades and mechanics to Unbounded. Additionally, I'm also exploring the possibility of introducing a more structured storyline experience, complementing the current roguelike infinite-run format.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the a core gameplay loop of selecting a weapon, fighting bosses, and upgrading equipment. There are currently 4 bosses in the game (including a tutorial boss), 3 unique weapons, and 20 different upgrade cards (5 from each boss).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Unbounded is a passion project and will remain free after full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback and suggestions will be taken into account when evaluating development priorities.”

About This Game

Unbounded is a top-down 2d roguelike bullet hell shooter all about dodging projectiles, fighting bosses, and surviving as long as possible.

Defeat bosses and pick upgrades you deem necessary for your weapon and current run. Each boss has a unique range of upgrades with modifiers that reflect their individual characteristics.

Pick wisely! Every upgrade matters as bosses progressively get stronger the more you defeat.

Early Access introduces 3 unique bosses, each with their own special terrain:
